The earliest teams I really remember watching live were Jay Burson's tOSU teams. I watched Jimmy Jackson win the HS state tourney live b/c he was our prized recruit. Michael Redd & Schoonie Penn were a joy to watch. Of course, Thad Matta brought the program to a whole new level. I do not think Thad's job should be in question.
We all admit this year is a disappointment (though for me not as big of one as it is for others). I want to be realistic about Buckeye BBALL - because we are and always will be a football school. So here is what I "expect" from our BBALL program:
(1) Play w/maximum effort & play together as a team (show improvement thru year)
(2) Win the B1G championship (regular season) every 3 years
(3) Finish no lower than 6th in the B1G regular season standings
(4) Make the NCAA tournament 90% of the time (get out of the first round)
(5) Make a run in the NCAA tourney (elite 8 or better) every 3rd year
What is your "standard/expectations" for tOSU BBALL? Why do you consider it a realistic standard?
