Big win for the Lax Bucks yesterday, downing #19 Marquette at home Friday by a score of 12-8.  Junior Jake Withers continues to dominate on faceoffs (13 of 22 Friday, and 67-of-104 faceoffs this season (.644)) and leads the team in groundballs (44 on the year) logging his fourth game with nine or more GBs.  Withers has already been named B1G Specialist of the Week twice this season, and may be on his way to a third.  For those new to lacrosse, possession means everything, so winning faceoffs and picking up groundballs are keys to possessing the ball and winning.

The win yesterday improves the Lax Bucks to 4-1 on the season, and should move them back into the Top 25 next week.  The Buckeyes face Bellarmine tomorrow (Sunday) in The Shoe at 3 PM to close out the Midwest Lacrosse Classic.  Tickets are $8.  Look for Bucknut1994 if you go to the game.  Next week, the team has Hofstra and Towson on tap (two tough East Coast teams) before they run the gauntlet of Denver (2015 National Champions) and ND (2015 NCAA Final Four).
