Should we make "Wanted" posters (ala Maryland), lol. Could get Block "O" to do some chants or something.
Alex, what are your percentages (that they commit to Ohio State) on the guys you listed? Thanks.
don't love to do percentages....
I think OSU has a really good shot with all of them except for Alexander...I think he ends up at Miami or FSU, but you never know with Urban
Alex,
I wonder if you have any insight on how big of a push Urban is making to get recruits in for the Spring game. Is this list likely to grow significantly?
fwiw, a poster on another site is saying that LB Tim Kimbrough is coming for the Spring game.
Kimbrough's tough. Watched him at the Ben Davis game last year. Easily the best player on the field.
Fan of bacon since 1981
I like the idea of Eli being there, would be nice to see four other committs go up for it especially Burrows and Marshall.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
I think you will see more for sure...I know Jamal Marcus is coming with McNeil
Alex, any chance we have a commit(s) at the spring game? Thanks!
Jaylon Smith going to be there?
@Doug, we'll see. I'll bring it up.
Hope the other commits go too to build relationships with these other recruits
Article on Bucknuts the other day made it sound like Alexander was pretty high on OSU for what it's worth--- he's a big Urban Meyer fan & same HS as Brian Rolle
If you ain't a Silver Bullet, you're a target
I think the Spring Game will bring us at least 1 if not a few commits
Not really going out on a limb there, are you Alex? lol. Based on some of the things you've stated here, I'll guess that the one you're confident about would be Heuerman, and since I have no reputation to risk, I'll say it wouldn't surprise me to see McNeil and Webb commit then as well.
I agree with Ahh Saturday. Besides Ohio guys, the ones who I think have the best chance to commit at the Spring Game are McNeil, Webb and Heuereman. Ohio guys could be Love, Zaire (if he gets the offer), maybe Munger (if his offer is commitable), or Day.
Should be interesting.
updated
Cool, hope the list grows.
vacuuming sucks
I think Alex should edit his original post and preface it with the date & time of the game. I believe it's 4/21. I do not know the scehduled time, however.
I think it would just be a good idea to have all this kind of information in one nice place.
Also in attendence: Denny (Washington, DC. 2002 commit).
Taquitos.
Will Denny be signing autographs?
vacuuming sucks
Only if you tip him $100.
Is McGovern still coming?
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Add Lewis Neal and stroke through McGovern for now
Darn, was hoping that visit could have him reconsidering his choice
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Any chance Su'a Cravens visits for Spring Game, or does he have another visit scheduled? From reports he wants to decide sometime in the near future.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Barker looks really good.
I know Alex feels pretty good about the spring game bringing at least one commit. Anyone have an idea on who is most likely to commit at or shortly after the spring game?
Also does anyone know anything about the Brunson kid? He seems a bit undersized are we recruiting him to play safety or lb? He has a pretty good highlight preview http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpE1ugGq7Y0
Mike Heuerman, Josh McNeil, and my sleeper in Joey Bosa as possible commits on or shortly after the Spring Game.....if Bosa makes it to the spring game as he is supposed to I think Urban will get this one....if he doesn't, Roll Tide....just my guess based on what I know, definitely fluid and definitely not in stone
Bosa would be a nice grab for sure, be huge to steal one from Saban too
Webb is off this list I assume
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Webb out, Bosa out, Burrows in, Hurst Jr. in
EDIT: Sorry didn't see you mention Hurtst. But I belive Quick is visiting for the game?
Yes, he is thanks for reminding
To answer the question above, Jaylon Smith said today in an interview that he would not be going to the OSU spring game.... or NDs for that matter. Apparently his team has a tournament that weekend.
http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/eye-on-recruiting/18382326...
This article discusses Smith in detail. Lots of interesting tidbits in this. The event was in Detroit so lots of talk about Michigan but some pertains to you guys.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

Well lets all hope that Smith gets to play his colledge football at Ohio State with his brother.
That would be some intense scrimage with those 2 lining up on opposite sides of the ball and bringing out their best against each other..
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Tim Kimbrough
Updated for now
With the new commitment of Baugh, does this change McNeil coming to the spring game?
Really want green there, we seem to be slipping a bit with him, but a 90,000+ spring game could move the needle back in our direction.
Josh McNeil is now not attending the Spring Game
^^And there it is.
Might be a hint that McNeil will be the odd man out at the TE spot. I think Josh is a great player but I am ok with that I think Heuerman and Baugh fit the spread offense a little more than Josh does.
Heuerman's Junior film is awesome http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2jFPuvMTD0 I love that half of the highlights are of him owning and most of the time pancaking some defensive linemen.
Alex, GSW, any idea when some of the possibles will be confirmed, or will it just be a see who shows up kind of thing?
Devaris Brunson will not attend either due to track, will try to camp in June
@Corveyer
You pretty much hit the nail on the head there. It seems to me with the pulling out of the spring game from McNeil and Heuerman calling Meyer right away when Baugh committed and said it would have no effect on his decision and Meyer still wants him, they will be going all in on Heuerman.
Question is tho, if Heuerman goes elsewhere, will they go back to McNeil?
He changed the date so his brother could be there and called Urban right away when Baugh committed. I would guess he said something to make Urban very happy when that call came in, but maybe I'm just reading into this a little too much.
"Michigan and "huge mistake" are synonymous"

Do we know when Anzalone or Greens visit will be confirmed as coming or not coming? Both of those are huuuuge visits and could possibly see an Anzalone committ of he's there IMO and with the news of Clemson being new leader for Green this could be huge to get back on top.
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
just spoke to Jayme Thompson...he will be there and is missing his prom for it!
@Alex- You stated Joey Bosa moved up his visit. Do you know when?
I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault.

I believe he was there today, right?
Bosa is in Columbus right now or least he was earlier today.
From what I know, he landed in CBus, and touring Ohio State tomorrow

Cam is working on Bosa on Twitter tonight. According to what Bosa is saying it sounds like tomorrow will be the recruiting activities. But love seeing Cam doing work for this class.
what high school has prom in april good for him though
Now thats a good spring game list, especially if the "possible vistors" end up making it. I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't sound like the shoe will be very full but that really doesn't matter.
"Love my State, hate the football"
Didn't land he drove I believe :)
That's my lingo for travelling, just a habit of saying lol
I thought David Perkins was going to be there? Not on the list
I think Anzalone can be confirmed on the list. Article over on rivals states he'll decide between spring games at Ohio State, Penn State, or Notre Dame
why aren't many people expected to attend the spring game?
@swingo- If you're refering to my last post, I just last heard that ticket sales at that point were ranging around 17,000+ and that was a week or so ago and the poll on here about "who is going to the spring game" was about 50/50 yes and no...Im just assuming based off of what I've read that it won't be packed like some of us would have hoped. I'm not sure where the ticket sales are at now. Hoping I'm wrong though! Either way, I can't wait to be there.
"Love my State, hate the football"
You'd be surprised how many people buy at the door. As well as the amount of students who get in free. If there's good weather attendance could push 100,000
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
also of note, Amedeo Della Valle, a 2012 bball recruit from Findlay Prep in Nevada will be at the game
@upnorth well here's to hoping people will buy at the door. I'm a student and I'll be going for free, as will most of the people I know here. There's definitely some excitement around campus, people want to see what an Urban Meyer offense looks like
That's hilarious about ADV...he seemed pissed about how Michigan stopped recruiting him.

I hope this helps us get in the game for Mackensie, I'd like one more CB (burrows or someone else can slide over to safety if need be, but I'd really like one more for more true CBs on the roster.
Read something on Bucknuts about Anzalone making it official that he will be at OSU for our spring game? Might be old news, but anyone confirm?
Better add Joey Bosa* to the list
Anzalone will be at game- per bucknuts
Three of the top schools Anzalone is considering are Ohio State, Penn State and Notre Dame, and all three will hold their spring game on April 21.
After visiting Penn State yesterday, Anzalone says he will definitely be in Columbus next weekend.
“I’ll go to the Ohio State spring game,” Anzalone said. “After that I don’t have anything else planned right now.
“I’ve been talking to coach (Luke) Fickell. Everything is going good.”
@British buck, I saw anzalone said he would be going to Osu's spring too, huge news, hopefully this kid joins the scarlet and grey along with hopefully heuerman
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Anyone hear news on Bosa? IF somehow he joins the fun, could be a real interesting spring game in terms of verbals. Having some other top talent there to see big names like anzalone and heuerman commit could only mean good things down the line come next NSD...for those fans that may be waffling on going to the game..BE A MAN!...that is all
@BritishBuckeye the link tells the story on Bosa. Will be at spring game if he gets RTs.
http://www.elevenwarriors.com/forum/football/2012/04/big-visitor-this-week?page=2&tw_p=twt
He is coming to the OSU spring game, which I posted in the 2013 thread that he was a few days ago I believe, but adds on that he has no further plans afterward. Chalk one up for Meyer, Alex commits at the Spring Game.
Does anyone know our chances with Quick?
Asked Mitch Trubisky last night if he was going to the OSU Spring game and he replied:
Great work ItsFav!
I wonder if Urban also reached out to JT Barrett. With all of this momentum and positive karma I see this as the best possible weekend to reel in some of this big fish. Same goes for Jaylon, Treadwell, and Pocic.
Thanks BuckeyeInNYC!
Updated with a little new look....this is fluid as I mention
Wow, second straight weekend for Spence. Got to meet him, Ball, Frank E, and another DE that was on visit, humble kids.
Now if we can only get good weather!
Hope to see Bosa come. I think if weather permits we will have a solid showing of fans (perhaps break our national record? LETS DO THIS PEOPLE) and a good experience for the recruits, commits, and signed players for next year. Green visit would also be nice.
I'd love for Bosa to come, but I think it's equally important at the moment for Derrick Green to make it out.
If the weather is really nice we have a chance to break our own record for spring game attendance. Im psyched!

No Gray, that doesn't mean he's coming. It means he retweeted Pantoni's excitement for Pantoni's first game.
Read today that just over 40,000 tickets have been sold...got mine...tell the neighbors, coworkers, random people at the grocery store to get going...money goes to a good cause anyways
The staff seems pretty interested in Rawlins since he was already here once.

Any idea how Mackensie Alexander will be traveling here? Heard he would have to drive alone from Florida. Anyone with any info?
Well Mackenro is coming too, his brother.
Just got my 3 tickets to the game! So excited can't wait!!
@ Recruitbuck
My mistake I did not notice that, thank you for correcting me. I got a little too excited.
The spring game should still be awesome, even if it does rain. Predicting 30% rain this early in the week does not mean much to me.

Devon Rogers (2014 DB) Just tweeted:
Sign him up!
ATH Ryan Timmons plans to attend the spring game
In Reference to Caleb Day (2013 ATH):
Yes Caleb Day at the spring game
Elijah Daniel will visit Wednesday
Is day being recruited as a CB or Safety, haven't heard much about him lately
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
As far as I'm concerned, he's being recruited by OSU as a CB
Nice to see the 2012 class rolling deep at the spring game hopefully they get along well and help with the 2013 recruits
I would be very interested to hear what the "record" for lack of a better term would be as to how many recruits to a Spring game is. It seems to me like we have a ton of them coming for ours.
Thanks for the help guys
With Anzalone, Love, and Kimbrough all coming for the Spring Game, I expect we'll have some clarity with the LB situation after this weekend.
I think Kimbrough gets an offer if any of Anzalone, Love, or Smith go elsewhere.
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Weather looks like its going to be rainy and cold... Really hoping this doesn't affect recruiting and attendance too much.
Ohio State Alum '10
Go Bucks!
I never trust the weather. I do not take it into consideration until the day of. Still 5 days away
55 ain't really "cold"...just colder than the 75 on Friday...I have faith though things will be ok
Here's hoping we have a weekend like TTUN did 2/18 - 2/19 where it seemed like they wrapped up their entire class for the year in a few hours. Lots of talent coming into the Shoe!
Looks like RB William Houston will be there
You can probably put Trubisky as in. He's attending the North-South game at the shoe on Friday afternoon and tweeted he was staying for the spring game. Wouldn't be overly surprised if he committed Saturday after watching a game at the shoe
Edit: my mistake he is ATTENDING the north-south not playing
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Just something to consider:
I went to a Crew game two weekends ago. The forecast said 53 and cloudy. It ended up being ~85 in direct sunlight and I got a terrible sunburn. So...yeah Ohio weather...
Anyone know the former Buckeyes that will be there? I know James Laurinaitis said he is.
Reon Dawson in...Tracy Sprinkle moved to commit...I will add Houston and Trubisky
Maybe Trubisky will get evaluated by Meyer in the North-South game, not sure how competive that is, but could lead to Urban telling him he has a committable offer after spring game if he likes what he sees from Trubisky.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Yes Reon Dawson is in, also add OT Dylan Wiseman to the list of attendees
Be nice to get some news in next 2 days of someone like Vonn Bell or JT Barrett going to spring game, not sure if they already have planned visits or not this weekend though.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
What the deal with Derrick Green? Haven't heard anything since the Clemson news.

@BJMullins I believe from what we have heard the Mitch already has a committable offer. Alex can you confirm?

And yes Alex I did mean to say attending...he's obviously not a departing senior haha my mistake

On the ever-changing weather updates here...I've got 62 and 50% chance of rain.
I would like to see Ethan Pocic on that list
http://www.weather.com/weather/5-day/USOH0212 = 62 degrees with 50% chance of rain
http://www.wunderground.com/US/OH/Columbus.html = 72 degrees with a 20% chance of rain
http://www.10tv.com/content/sections/weather/index.html = 61 degrees with 70% chance of rain
http://weather.nbc4i.com/ = 59 degrees, cloudy
http://www.accuweather.com/en/us/columbus-oh/43215/weekend-weather/350128 = 65 degrees, rain possible
http://weatherforyou.com/reports/index.php?forecast=zandh&pands=columbus... = 58 degrees isolated showers
http://weather.weatherbug.com/OH/Columbus-weather/local-forecast/7-day-f... = 56 degrees and rain
Here is my weather man coming out. Take this to the bank:
Your gonna have some clouds with breif periods of sunlight pentrating the overcast, nothing substantial, but just enough to know that spring is coming. Weather will be settling right around 64-66 degrees around game time. The field will be moist, but it looks like the major rainfall will be hitting other areas. Winds will not be too present, coming in from the west at about 7-10 mph...... Weather sucks, too unpredictable to worry about. :)
Pocic will not be coming
Trubisky's offer probably depends on whether Barrett commits.
Are we new to Ohio or something? Everyone knows weather forecasts in this state are some sort of high stakes guessing game where "meteorologists" just take a stab at it, and whoever gets the closest takes the pot. But seriously though, it could be snowing by Saturday, so just settle down. Talking about the weather won't change it, so let's just sell out the stadium either way.
In regards to new commits between Friday and Tuesday.....I am putting the over/under at 3.5.
^^^ Not by Tuesday. My guess is that if we get that many commits out of the Spring Game, they will space out the announcements over the week, give each prospect his moment in the sun
Great list of visitors this weekend. A bunch of big prospects but I really hope the James Quick visit goes really well. Other posters have mentioned being really high on him, and I now am to. The more highlights of his I watch the more I am impressed. I think he would be a great addition to this class.
Alex, GSW, or anyone have any idea when he plans to commit or who his leaders are?
Agreed with Corveyer about Quick, I think he will be a real asset, but I wish we had a few more WR at the spring game.
24/7 now has Clemson leading for Derrick Green. I know he had a good visit there but had Clemson ever "led" before? He also appears to be deciding between tOSU and another school (maybe Va Tech?) to visit this weekend. Anyone have any info on Green?
Clemson has been a rumored leader for a while, but OSU will always be at the top. He wears 27 for a reason.
Pre-sale tickets officially at 60,000 per The Lantern
^ awesome, I would be there, but I am seeing my cousin off to San Diego Saturday...... But I will be watching on BTN, you best believe it.
@CORVEYER I saw that article on VTs 247 page, and I didn't know if the other choice was us, but now that you say that I can put together the pieces.
Add Joey Bosa to the list.
(begins fist pump)
BOOM!
saw it too...awesome...BOSA!
Is it safe to say Jaylon Smith is not comming? Seems like things cooled off with him..
- Respect the Rivalry -
Excited to add Bosa
add Chris Worley too
Oh and now that Bosa is coming back, I'd be SHOCKED if he's not a Buckeye
That is huge for Bosa, any chance he committs this weekend you think? I know he said on his birthday but things seem to be moving pretty fast with him the last week or so.
He could commit this weekend, but I don't think he would announce it.
This is going to be a huge weekend! Saying it right now, 3 commits after Saturday! Bosa, Anzalone and Heuerman! Book it!
If he has a visit like he did last weekend again, gotta think he at least gives a silent verbal to the staff. Chances are looking pretty good with this one. :)
looking at the list of recruits who are definitely IN plus the incoming freshmen that will be there...I am stoked. Hope the weather cooperates at least to a reasonable standard and we get a good showing of fans. Could be a reallllly good weekend for OSU football. I think Anzalone and Heuerman commit...Bosa might take a little more time but I think him coming back is huge.
I personally would start feeling a little bad in regards to Green if he has the option of either going to the VT spring game or tOSU spring game and he opts to go to VT. For me, I'd interpret that as he's cooling a bit on us. Especially after saying Clemson is #1 (which he seem to chance every other day). Oh, this recruiting game. Oh well, this will be a great weekend either way!
"Love my State, hate the football"
@upnorth I completely agree, going to blacksburg would be a bad sign. I still think Ohio State has a good chance to land him but things are certainly not going great at the moment.
I wonder what happened....there HAS to be more to it than he just lost interest....
wonder if Elliot's commitment threw him off a bit because he isn't going to be the sole RB in this class. Losing out on Green wouldn't be a big blow considering we just landed Dunn and Ball and I think both will be solid contributors in the not so near future...I'd look for Dunn to be our go to guy down the line. If Rod Smith continues to improve, our RB situation will be just fine with or without Green. If the Bucks land Bosa and Anzalone on the defensive side of the ball before summer (maybe throw in some Love (pun intended)) itd been a overly successful haul considering to win over Bosa, Meyer had to get him out of Florida and away from Alabama. I think there is a surprise out there from one of the visitors at the Spring Game. Not saying he will commit but I have a feeling someone will do a Baugh and commit out of no where, especially when the class begins to fill up quicker.
Elliott said he was told that there would only be 1 RB in the class. We all didn't believe it, but maybe it's the truth.
Just wondering, I will be at the game and would love to chant the names of those possible commits " BOOOO...SAAAA" " ANZA....LOOOOOON" and " HEUERMAAAAAAAAAAAAN"
Any idea how can we arrainge the crowd for this to happen??
I really hope that Elliot's commitment isn't the reason. If anyone thinks they are coming to Ohio State and they aren't going to have to compete they need to look elsewhere because that kind of attitude wont fly with Urban. I just think its one of those things, maybe someone close to him got in his ear and is trying to steer him else where. Who knows?
I agree depth wise missing out on Green isn't as big a concern as it is in other positions. But I think he is a special player and I would love to have him in this class. If he comes to Columbus this weekend I think that should go a long way in reminding him why he has always loved tOSU. But well see on this one.
I also agree that somewhere along the line we are likely to get a out of no where Baugh type commit before NSD. But I don't know if any of the guys coming to the spring game would be considered out of no where. Saturday will produce some commitments in the near further, hopefully more vs. less. Bosa and Anzalone obviously come to mind as guys who may commit shortly after the game. But if there are more than 2-3 commits it may be a wild next month with guys speeding up to try to make sure they get in before we run out of space.
Green has said he knows he's going to have to compete for playing time no matter where he goes and that it's not an issue. I wonder if there might be a lot more to Elliott's statement about that staff saying they only want one back in this class than we thought. It could be that the staff feels comfortable with the depth at RB and decided they only need one. If that's the case and they let that on to Green, it would explain a lot. I hope they keep pursuing him and that we can bring him in because he's a stud. But if not, well then it looks like Clemson would get a great player. Would be a shame because it would basically mean that Green waited too long.
@fail
Jaylon smith is not attending our spring game, nor notre dames which is also this Saturday. He and his team have a 7 on 7 tourney this weekend. So that's where he will be.
Elijah Daniel will be at the Spring Game according to Bill Greene
The Buckeye Battle Cry is reporting that Derrick Green will be at the spring game. Not sure if that's true or not, but here is the link: http://www.thebuckeyebattlecry.com/2012/04/ohio-state-recruiting-spring-game-extravoganza/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
Rosters TBA this afternoon too
Daniel and green would be solid additions to the spring game roster. I really wish we had some more OL on that list Pocic Lazard, Rogers, Peterson
Man, thats a whole lotta stud foosball players coming to attend this function!
Absolutely loving it!
Add JUCO WR/DB Corey Smith to the list of attendees
Chavas Rawlins attending WVU spring game instead.
Has anyone heard where Kimbrough stands lately? Has he cleared up his issues enough to finally get the offer?
I doubt he gets one unless we miss on love or anzalone
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Nothing against Rawlins, but this doesn't surprise me with Barrett committing yesterday and with limited scholarship space. I think that might be a sign that the staff may not be taking another QB or at least wont be taking any other commitments at the position for the time being.
I've heard Bosa has been telling people that this weekend is going to be special...something tells me he commits.
Add 2013 DB Jerome Lane, OL Lovell Peterson, OL Dylan Wiseman (again), RB Derrick Green is being reported in by a couple sites FWIW.
Really hope Green comes

^^^^ Every Buckeye fan does...Man, Green would be the icing on the cake for this list...Some amazing talent.
@british, he said on twitter that it was gonna be a good Saturday in Columbus, and there might be a surprise. Verbatim, something to that effect so it sounds good. Also I really hope Green can get to the game, he a stud and I'd love to have him be a buckeye!
I really think Anzalone, Bosa, Heuerman, and maybe Quick commit but do not make it public this weekend.
MacKensie Alexander is not making it to Ohio State this weekend like once planned, I imagine his brother isn't going as well, scratch them two off the list.
Doesnt suprise me at all, we already have Woodard and Burrows

I saw that Laquon Treadwell tweeted that 'he may be going to a spring game this weekend'.
Anyone know anything on this? Saw he has an offer from Notre Dame, so it could be them, or it could be OSU, or someone else.
By the way: On Bucknuts pod-cast they were pronouncing Alex Anzalone's name "Anz -aw-loney", not sure itf thats correct, but if there is gonna be a chant, we need to pronounce it correctly.
Anyone know if 'Anz-aw-loney' is correct? Alex?
Make sure the spring game chant is An-Za-Lo-Neee and not An-Za-Loan.
Man that would be bad lol
Anzalone is in the house. Good to see some of the guys getting here! Bosa also has lots of UM haters, can't wait for him to commit!
Recruitbuck, I think the hate from TTUN may push Bosa our way a little. Bosa seems to be a guy who thrives on adversity, Michigan will provide him with plenty of that.
"Attack the Strong, Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead!"
-Former OSU S&C Coach Lichter
703, hellz to the yeah!
Also, good to know I've been pronouncing Anzalone's name properly.
Yeah, I think last weekend's events have elevated Bosa's hatred of Michigan, from what I presume was not much, to most hated (which is why I think it was a joke when he said it was between OSU/Michigan or Michigan was top 4...whatever). At this point, I'm rooting for him to commit to OSU (even though he's a stud), because the rivalry needs these types of kids that are passionate about Michigan/OSU. Michigan [clearly] already has a few big talents with bigger mouths. Besides, even if Bosa isn't there, we still have to deal with Spence, Pittman, Washington, Shutt, and whoever else is on the line (and yes, I know they aren't all playing the same position).

^^^ Kyle Kalis #OhiosBlood.
That's gonna be a fun battle to watch in the trenches. The way I see it, Kalis gets beat, down goes the QB. Kalis doesn't get beat, someone else does, same result.
Still see Trubisky on the list. hmmmm
You're startin to grow on me Hail.... Not too much though but a decent scUM fan is refreshing...Kudos to you my fellow rivaled friend.....
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got nine guys who better go do it again. Do it a little harder next time." -- Urban Frank Meyer -- I LOVE THIS DUDE!! :)
Cross Derrick Green off
Unfortunately, it looks like from his twitter account that Derrick Green is not going to the OSU spring game and is going to the Virginia Tech game instead.
I think the Ezekiel Elliott committment was a turn off to Derrick Green.
With that news, I wouldn't count on Green being in the class...thats what I'm thinking anyways
In better news, I just got into Cbus for the game tomorrow so I'm pumped for that
"Love my State, hate the football"
I think Green is out as well.
Guess we should have trusted Elliot when he said Urban was only taking one RB this year.
On a related note, I think the versatility of Jalin Marshall is letting the staff be a little pickier at the offensive skill positions. He could play QB in a pinch or RB/WR. Essentially he fills 3 different spots with one scholarship, which is handy since we have scholarship reductions.
Green would be great in this class, but we already got Brionte Dunn last year, Ezekiel Elliot fits the mould Meyer wants that is missing in the running back position at Osu for his offense.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Well if it wasn't clear already:
It also appears James Quick had a good day (maybe due to visit)?
Update:
Yes, he tweeted this: http://twitpic.com/9c7gj9
And this: http://twitpic.com/9c7go1
I hope Bosa, Quick and Anzalone commit, it will be a great weekend if we can get all 3
@Gene, that'd be great, hopefully ND didn't steal away Heuerman and he comes in on the 27th too.
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
GSW- thanks for all the updates ! great stuff.
I still think Green is a Buckeye. camped @ TOSU all thru hs and sports #27, loves school and tradition. Lure of playing closer to home VTech or clemson is there.
Class may take just 1 RB, 1 scat back, E. Elliot, 1 power back, D. Green
Green could be taking the spring game visit to VT just to get news on a new school because he is so high on tOSU. May be a long shot, but you never know with these kids.
Oh yea, BTN playing the Ohio State Wisconsin game from last year..... I LOVE IT!!!!
Touchdown Smith!!!
Tough times never last, tough people do
So it seems both Courtney Love and Derrick Green are out. Both were considered locks early in the game but Urban's recruiting tactics are slightly different. I completely trust Urban in his recruiting and I know he had done this for some reason beyond our comprehension.

Could Quick commit this weekend?
Certainly possible especially with so many commits and likely commits on site. This weekend is about as full court press as it gets. But I don't know much about Quick other than he highlight film is awesome and him committing would be fantastic.
Quick apparently reall enjoyed himself yesterday. Not sure if he commits but this weekend could go a long way for us. Hoping he does commit
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
I don't see Quick committing this weekend. But, no one saw Baugh committing, either, so...

No Tim Kimbrough for the spring game. Said he didnt get to go.
Add WR Rob Wheelwright & LB Eric Beisel
not sure if BTN said this at the beginning of the spring game, but does anyone know the attendance? I missed the beginning

so Bosa's latest tweet says "Tonight ;)" Here's hoping!!!
Hail, thank you, appreciate it, Sir. and to this ^^^^ AHHHHH!!!!! One can only hope
So for those that were able to make it - were there chants? The loudest it got on TV was during a routine O-H-I-O chant.
no chants really, just oohs and ahhs for a few big hits or big plays, and the typical O-H-I-O chant
Is anyone else surprised on how well Carter played at DT? I thought he would never play a snap for us. But I think he may make a good DT. Thoughts?
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
Noticed a few plays where Carter held his own in there. He's definitely a load and seemed to be energetic.
I just saw on Scout that John Montelus, the OL from Mass. committed to Beetface.
Also, Bucky Hodges committed to Va. Tech, (no surprise here after OSU signed JTB).
Cardale Jones' Twitter today is interesting.
