It may show my deficiency in knowledge of sports, but I can't recall another comparable "discipleship" between a mentor and pupil as quite like Urban and Herman. Herman took basically the entire recipe from Urban with him to Houston. Coach Meyer's winning ingredients: an extremely competitive strength development & mentorship program, the Wednesday sessions that are designed to teach players about life, primary after football, the student appreciation day, are the things that set him apart from his counterparts. It appears Herman didn't just take a page; he took the whole Damn book! :-) Could you think of any example like this "discipleship" in any sports? Also, if you have your wish, which one of the former Ohio State assistant coaches you would pick to be Urban's successor?
