As a certified college football junkie I find myself pursuing content from local beat writers for other teams (as opposed to lurking through other fan site message boards).

Often my pursuit leads me to newspapers (Free Press, Lansing State Journal, Omaha World Herald, Chicago Tribune, etc.,) where typically I can only view a limited number of articles, or certain articles are locked for subscribers only.

I subscribe to the Athletic and I find the content there great, and truthfully, it's not like I'm needing more CFB content in my life, I just enjoy it.

Rather than sign up and pay for $1 for 6 months of service or whatever they are offering, I usually just move along to content elsewhere. 

Are you interested in reading the beat writers from other teams, especially when they face Ohio State?  Do you pay for any online newspaper subscriptions?
