WWII Vehicle Parade – Bastogne, Belgium, December 2019. *Updated*

Here is a thread to get away from rioting and disease. This is from last December’s 75th Anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge celebration in Bastogne, Belgium. This camera is filming from the northern end of the main street through Bastogne. In about 100 yards it widens into a two-lane street. My wife and I were on the left side of the street, across from city hall. As you can see, these vehicles vary from airborne motorbikes to heavy engineer recovery vehicles.

Two takeaway points are:

1. The US left a lot of vehicles when the war was over.
2. The Belgians (and others) are taking good care of those vehicles!

(The first vehicle in the above video is a German t-38 Hetzer. It must have gotten lost, as it is the only German vehicle I recall in the parade.)
