The official end to a disappointing season is almost upon us. And, just because our boys aren't in it doesn't mean most of us won't watch it. Given that the game is on a work night, we chose something that is easily prepared and cooks in the crock pot while you're hard at work away from home browsing 11W all day. It's a simple recipe that we love to make.
Dr. Pepper Pulled Pork
INGREDIENTS
3-4 lbs Pork Roast
1 Can of Dr. Pepper
1 Small Onion
BBQ Sauce (we use Sweet Baby Ray's)
DIRECTIONS
Place pork roast and chopped onion in the crock pot, pour Dr. Pepper over it. Cover, cook on low heat for 8 hours. Remove the pork roast and shred with two forks. Discard the fat, if desired (some people like it). Then, replace the pork in the crock pot and add BBQ sauce to desired thickness and flavor (we use an entire 18 oz bottle). Serve on your favorite bun, or eat it open faced with a fork.
Good luck in the off season. Go Bucks.
