This lady is suing Pop Warner for over $5 Million.

Her son killed himself in 2012, which is terrible and I feel bad for her. But, she's trying to say that because he played Pop Warner 15 years before that --- the reason he killed himself was due to football injuries.  

Ridiculous.

First of all, kids who play football in Pop Warner at the ages around 10 years old rarely suffer head injuries like high school, college and NFL players. This is because they're smaller, slower, and there isn't the same centripetal force and velocity because of the (lack of) size and speed of collisions. 

This is also a byproduct of the media and other segments of today's culture to vilify football as much as possible. Yes, concussions are dangerous and a possibility, but there's a lot of overreaction involved now.

We all know going into play the sport that it's not for the faint of heart. There are risks involved, like a lot of things. 

This is a disgusting attempt of a parent using their son's death to try to get rich. Be prepared for more asinine lawsuits like this in the years to come.
