Big regular season wins don't happen every year in Oxford, Miss., but especially so against the hated Crimson Tide of Alabama.

Ole Miss hadn't won since 2003 when it up-ended Alabama in 2014. The aftermath fracas led to the perfectly-named Ole Miss grad student, Bucker Corso, and his friends to pilfer the field goal post and parade it around town. It eventually ended up at his house, where they called in a specialist to help dispose of the evidence.

From Al.com:

When [the carpenter] got to Corso's house and the group was debating what to do with the goalpost, he offered to cut it up into pieces. The group agreed and so off Watson went on Sunday to Home Depot to rent a jigsaw for a few hours.

Home Depot employees immediately had a good idea why a 20-something guy was in early to rent a saw.

"You're cutting the goalpost, aren't you?" they asked him.

Buckner and his friends all got a piece, as did head coach Hugh Freeze, Ole Miss's athletic director Ross Bjork, and other Ole Miss supporters who bid for their own piece of the sacred Rebel artifact.

Those 80 primary supporters are spread out over 36 different states, from California to Louisiana to New Jersey to Vermont. Fans in Massachusetts, Maryland, Colorado and Nebraska all have a piece from that memorable day.

Ole Miss finished the 2014 season at 9-4, including a 42-3 Peach Bowl shellacking at the hands of TCU.
