Urban Meyer has taken to referencing That Team Up North as "our rival", but finds himself occassionally slipping and mentioning them by name. It started when he was a graduate assistant in 1986 and first meeting Woody Hayes.
After yesterday I cannot find myself to be upset if Coach Meyer utters the name of the Team That Shall Not be Named. I don't seem to think it'll become a habit.

Mine wasn't even restricted to coaches. Physics teacher had us do push ups as well. It was always funny to see some kids complain about how unfair it was...10 push ups for a swear word seemed like a bargain to most of the athletes.
I agree that it is a bit silly but I like it. It's just another (abeit slight) jab at one another. Fans follow the lead of their coaches and both coaches are currently setting that example. I've noticed the same thing with Penn State fans calling their walk-on program the "run-on" program; just like Bill O'Brien does.

Urban referenced more than 1 kid we stopped recruiting due to academics. Wonder who all we had to turn away?
I know there were some questions about Gibson, but it sounds like there were others ...
Robert Foster
Shelton Gibson

In high school, my coaches made us drop and give 10 whenever we cursed, so this kind of makes sense.

What good is any player who can't stay eligible? It's a wasted scholarship if he can't make grades and play, no matter how good he is.
Sounds reasonable to me...
It's perfectly acceptable to say that school's/state's name...as long as it's in a two word sentence that begins with "Fuck".
Or ends with "sucks"...possibly followed by any term for genitalia or buttocks
Class of 2010.
Does anyone else find the whole "Ohio" and "TTUN" thing a little silly? Why exactly aren't both sides calling the schools by their actual names?
blasphemy

I guess. It just seems a little contrived.
Anyone hear Urban call out Dustin Fox on 92.3 earlier today for saying "Michigan"?
