This NIU-EMU Game will Go Down in History as One of Mankind's Worst Crimes
Here's how NIU's write-up put it:
Northern Illinois posted its best defensive effort in seven seasons allowing just 42 points on Saturday afternoon, but it came in a losing effort as the Huskies fell to Eastern Michigan, 42-25, at the EMU Convocation Center.
(emphasis added)
Well, that's one way to spin it...

Comments
Manti Teo scores more than NIU did.
FAAAAAAR more than NIU did
I was at the Dayton Flyers game against them this year when they held NIU to five first half points.

Yeah, that's one of the more hilarious things about this record. NIU broke their own record of 5 points in a half from the Dayton game with this recent 4 point performance against Eastern Michigan.
Jeez I saw a 3rd grade girls Upward game where they put up 20....come on guys!
More painful than last years Bama vs LSU game? Lies!
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
Their sub header should read. "Quadrupled first half points in second half."
~Because we couldn't go for three~
Or quintupled.
How about, "Huskies score 525% more points in the second half."
I'd be so pissed if I paid for tickets to this game...
Edit: I'd be pissed it I wasted my time at this game
Was this a football game?..........................
Battles are sometimes won by generals; wars are nearly always won by sergeants and privates. Football is no different, the guys down in the trenches win the games, not the coach.
I was just thinking that same thing.
Wife: "How does this happen? Were they doing drugs before the game? Was this a blind league? Maybe NIU is a school for the blind? That must be it, a school for the blind."
One lucky fan was fortunate enough to witness the highpowered NIU scoring attack...
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
My daughter's 5th grade CYO basketball team regularly scored more points than that.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
how long til the ncaa decides this should be investigated for point shearing? point shaving does not come close to describing this.
