RUN GUAP RUN

From NFL.com:

Count former Ohio State Heisman winner and current Fox college analyst Eddie George as a fan of Buckeyes tailback Carlos Hyde.

"He can be a monster, a superstar on the next level," George told the Chicago Tribune. "I've seen him change as a total person."

Buckeyes running back coach Stan Drayton agrees. "It's not just about Carlos anymore," Drayton told the Tribune. "It's the team and the brotherhood."

Carlos Hyde is listed anywhere from a first round pick to a second day selection. We here at Eleven Warriors feel his talents will make somebody look very smart by drafting him.

EG = El Guapo
Coincidence? I think not.

Has anyone ever seen them in the same place, at the same time? hmmm....

Well if they're the same person, EG sure got shorter...

Just another car added to the El Guapo train.  Carlos will be missed.  I love watching that guy run.

"Say my name."

Amen brother! He has been unbelievable this year, and whoever gets him in the league will be well rewarded. He may not have the highest 5th gear, but he doesn't go down easily and he is durable, and that is what keeps you in games and gets you a paycheck. Wish he didn't miss those games, he would be collecting some hardware this week.

I am a modern-art masterpiece.

That and he rarely fumbles

Doc's picture

I think Carlos needs to have "El Guapo" on the back of his jersey instead of Hyde.  He also needs to change his number to 11 in honor of 11W who gave him his sweet ass moniker.  Just sayin'.

"Say my name."

he's not going to the XFL

I was thinking more along the lines of Ochostinco, but with more talent.

I would love to see him get 85 carries in the orange bowl...but it still would not be enough

All I know is that I will immediately become a fan of the team that drafts him. He has quickly become one of my favorite Buckeyes of all time, and I hope he tears it up at the next level.

Mi.Buckeye's picture

I can't say I will become an immediate fan of the team who draft him but I can say I will draft him in my fantasy football league.

There have been several seniors in recent years that I've really missed when they graduate - John Simon and Zach Boren from last year's class, as examples. But I think El Guapo may be the player I'm going to miss the most in recent years... he's really been something special to watch, and a big part of the reason this offense has transformed over the past two years.

TilstheHun3's picture

Same Andy... I really missed Teddy when he moved on. Hawk. Jenkins. Laurinaitis. Beanie. Boren. But I think I will miss Hyde most of all. "Special" doesn't even do it justice.

What is this? A center for ants?!? How can we be expected to teach children to learn how to read if they can't even fit inside the building?

TilstheHun3's picture

Whoever drafts Hyde is going to get a stud. There aren't that many guys in the NFL who have the power that he has, as most RBs are just under 220 lbs. Hyde is a little bigger and has great durability. I really hope he runs well at the Combine because if he does, the guy is going to make some serious $$$ and gets his name called early.

I want the Browns to draft Carlos "El Guapo" Hyde sooooo bad.

Barnsey69's picture

Why? They will just trade him to Indy for a long snapper...

I am a modern-art masterpiece.

Paulillo's picture

If you're talking about the Richardson trade then I'm confused. That was a brilliant trade. They got a first round pick out of a very average running back.

alust2013's picture

As a Colts fan, I have to say you're right. The Browns stole that pick and I wish the Colts had it back to take the top WR in the draft.

...and Michigan still sucks.

LiveLoveARob's picture

I wouldn't mind the Colts taking Guap next year in the first round...

biggy84's picture

It will be a brilliant trade only if the Browns make the right pick. Judging their record in the past, that's a big if.

Buckeytrips's picture

No they trade trash for long snappers!!

Beast mode...

That's awesome, gonna grab that for me-self! He just blows people up!

It is really sad that Carlos and all the seniors didnt get a NC  as they leave us.But come on only 18 carries for a man who needs to get the ball 30 times in a most important game..

Hoping El Guapo is wearing the black and gold next year.

OSUBias's picture

He needs to get the ball like 45 times in the Orange Bowl.
We can save Braxton's legs for next year. We will need them more then.

Slider...you stink

Zaphod Beeblebrox's picture

I hope Carlos runs all over the Tigers D on 1/3.

O-H-I-O...GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

alust2013's picture

I know everyone gets excited watching the small, shifty guys like DeAnthony Thomas run, but I like watching Hyde better, just bulldozing guys out of his way.

...and Michigan still sucks.

hetuck's picture

The Browns should take him with their second 1st round pick. I assume the first will be a QB.

Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.

Vince Lombardi

Zaphod Beeblebrox's picture

It's the Browns though, so they will probably make the wrong picks.

BassDropper's picture

I pray to God the Browns take Carlos. I would even take with with the Colts pick (yes I know, Trent Richardson) but watching this season makes you realize what the Browns are missing out on. Trent wasn't the guy, but if the Browns had a solid RB this season they would be in the playoffs. Every time Obynnia or McGahee runs it makes me cringe at how bad they are.

I only wish the best for Mr. Hyde. Therefore, I want him to stay as far away from that black hole of careers, AKA: Cleveland, as possible. Dude ran with power, authority and most importantly, anger. He gave all he had to The Buckeye Faithful. Thank you, Carlos.

My prediction is that the Browns "pull a Ditka" by trading all of their picks so they can draft Johnny Manziel!
Johnny's no-look, over the shoulder, grenade tosses will take the NFL by storm and he will lead the Brownies to 8 consecutive Super Bowl victories before retiring to become the next president of the United States!

Hyde might go in the later part of the 1st round, with a good chance to go to a solid team.  He  has power and speed in rare combination.  If he can pick up the pro game he will be very much an above average NFL player.

In old Ohio there's a team that's known throughout the land...

ScarletGray43157's picture

If not for the three games that he lost at the start of the season, he would be a Heisman finalist.  It is not out of the question that he could have gotten 750-800 more yards in those three games.

He can join Forte in Chi-Town. Talk about Beast Mode.
