Lots of fun at the old Horseshoe tonight, unless you're a defensive player. Well, unless you're a defensive player not named Brad Roby. Or John Simon. Special teams were also fun tonight, especially on "the most important play in football".
E2B goes to 3-0 as the Buckeyes took care of business against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 63-38. Braxton Miller broke his own record by piling up 185 rushing yards and also threw for 127 yards and a touchdown. Carlos Hyde ran for four TDs, Rod Smith carried for one in relief of Hyde, and Corey "Eagle" Brown ran a punt back for a score to power the OSU offensive machine. No sign of anything resembling a walrus on this night.
Last week defense was the story, not so much this week. Hey, it gives the coaches something to yell about in practice on Monday, right? Right. Now on to the celebration...

That last touchdown was Tressels least favorite moment of the game. I imagine he almost threw his O'Doul's at the TV.
"Th-th-that's not SPORTSMANLIKE!"
O'Doul's? I see him as more an Ovaltine kind of guy.
Dude, Tang.
You're all wrong. Warm glass of milk.
Class of 2008
Tressel would have done the exact same thing! They fumbled the ball on a sack, OSU ran the ball and scored on a short drive. There was more than 3 minutes left, they couldn't have kneeled on it. run the ball and let them stop it.
I specifically remember seeing JT mouth the words "OH NO NO" when we scored late in a game in a similar situation. I'm not trying to say anything about the playcalll or anything bad about JT just so we are clear. GO BUCKS!
yeah, but tressel would've told "boom" herron to run up brewster or shugarts' backs. i did'nt see urban order "boom" to do such a thing tonight!
"Get him a body bag, Yeah!"
Nah, the fake punt. Even though we were totally robbed of the first down...
After last season, I forgot how damn exhausting these big time games can be. O friggin H!
I-O! Awesome game tonight.
I-O!!! No kidding, freakin whooped!
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Holy touchdowns! Go Buckeyes!!
My wife is an IU grad. She's aware of two things: 1) that next week will not be stressful, and 2) her alma mater is going to get massacred.
Good enough show to land in the Top 10?
has to be with 3 of the top 5 losing as well
With LSU, FSU, and Georgia losing, I don't see how we're not in the top 10.
I say OSU moves up to #8 or #9.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
That's my guess too.
Just saw in the Dispatch:
Ohio State moves up to #8! Yaaaayes!
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
(^Beat me to it)
With Florida State, Texas, LSU and Georgia losing, I can't see how we wouldn't be at least #10
Was there a way we didn't score? Let me know if I'm missing something
Let's see:
Pick 6. Check
QB Run. Check
Passing TD. Check
Punt Return. Check
Multiple RB TD Runs. Check
Missing: Fumble Recovery TD, Kick Return TD, Strip TD, Field Goal, Safety, 2 Point Conversion.....Okay so maybe there's quite a few ways we didn't score, but still spread around pretty well. Go Bucks!
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
How great is it that one of the ways we did not score was a field goal.
^ +3
For real! This offense is money in the redzone.
next week are the games we need to worry about. I think our D has improved, minus the secondary, minus Roby.
63 points? Man. Our running game has looked good lately. I'm curious as to how many yards did we have
Right at 500. Brax had 186 and Hyde had 134...I think. Blackshirts? Lavender maybe.
Ohio State looks like Ohio State again
This. We're not going bowling this season. Our D looks like a pinball machine at times. But I think we're at the point where we can puff our chests out and say, "Yeah, we're back".
Husker fans are smart and know their history. The 63-38 score will definitely sting in Huskerland.
In 2001, Nebraska lost to Colorado 62-36. The Huskers backed into the NCG and got crushed by an awesome Miami FL team.
Later, in Bill Callahan's four seasons, Nebraska gave up 60 or more points three times.
I was excited when we scored that last touchdown. You don't see us put up 60+ on a team very often, let alone a team of Nebraska's caliber.
"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment."
Now that my friends was Buckeye Football.. Lovin it 6-0. Great job . Go Bucks!!
Buckeye_For_Life
20 1st downs for each team.
Total yards 438 neb 495 OSU
Passing 214 neb 127 OSU
Rushing 224 neb 368 OSU
Rushing attempts 46 neb 48 OSU
4.9 vs 7.7 ypr
just looked at some stats, sure seemed like Braxton completed more than 7 of 14
I admit I have a lot of respect for Nebraska. Burkhead is a beast. But we'd beat anyone in the country rushing for 350+ in a game.
"Because we couldn't go for three"
Our D has improved? What planet you living on? Giving up 38pts to sorry ass Nebraska? I hope you are being sarcastic! Someone needs to be held accountable. Worst D in years! Just goes to show much we miss Heacock! Fire Fick if you ask me.
If you ask me you need to go away.
You forgot that there was a stretch where both Shazier and Sabino were out of the game. I don't think Sabino ever came back. Storm made a couple of key tackles, but was MIA a lot of the time.
WVU would put 90 on us!
Not with our pass rush, now the back seven is pretty mediocre but the front four is just stellar.
I think I have identified a troll, 11Wsters.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Goes to show you know nothing about football. Anyone in Top 10 except Notre Dame would beat us by 14 or more.
Yes, if we played WVU, Bama, or Oregon it would probably be ugly. But, at this point in time, that really, really doesn't matter. After a 6-7 2011, just enjoy a hell of a win and the awesome start to a new era of Buckeye football. Come on.
Those are the only three teams I think are truly better. We still are in the development stage and have a lot of holes, but anybody who thinks we'd lose to most the top ten hasn't been watching the games of the teams in the top ten. Only Bama is really a complete team this year, with possibly South Carolina there but the jury is out.
Really I don't care who we'd beat or lose to. This is a practice year and even with all our holes and areas where we lack players you can see we are going to be ridiculous when the Urban show is a finished product.
i'll take a 63 point perfomance against what is likely the best team in the B1G anyway and I had a blast watching this game tonight. Awesome to see us when our offense clicks and even with that many points the D still had some good plays.
great night to be a Buckeye.
How the F**K are you so negative after such a win? 63-38!!! If you are trolling then you are in for a rude awakening! If you are not, then you need serious help. After the last 5 games, all which had plenty of reason to complain, you choose this game to say all this stuff! HA! I'm ecstatic about this win!
it sure seems like you dislike the buckeyes...a lot!!!
why would you read (and comment on) a pro-buckeye blog, being as cynical as you seem to be?
tonight was a good win...remember this team is on probation...every single game, this year, is a throw away game...none of them mean squat...but look out next year!!!
And now you can't post anymore
We are going to be in the top ten no question. Probably 7,8,9th.
defense played C+ game. You gotta remember Nebraska averages 30 a game and we have not seen a running QB yet. We just need to stop giving up big plays!
Man, I have the biggest grin on my face right now! Ohio State is BACK!
"We have always had the best damn band in the land, now we have the best damn team in the land"- Jim Tressel 1-03-03
Simon and Roby, both are beasts...
6-0? After 6-7? This is the conformation that I needed, Urban Meyer is
the best coach in footballa f*cking wizard.New era of Buckeye football.
63 is hit my head on the ceiling.
38 is hit my face with my palm.
We are all SO SPOILED.
GO BUCKS!!!!
****igan smells like old water that hot dogs were boiled in. FACT
Can we just enjoy the win for once! Every time we win, we always have to harp on the bad things about OSU. We can talk about our weaknesses later! For now, everyone should be elated that we are 6-0, have beaten 2 top 25 teams, and our offense is coming together just like everyone pictured!
The biggest tests left on our schedule are Michigan and Penn state. Both of them beat us last year. Revenge...
Wisconsin will be tough in Madison... especially after the taste left in their mouth from last year.
I want 63 to be the tame version of what we do to Wisconsin.
How freakin' sweet would it be if we went into madison and hung a hundy on Wah-eilima?
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
We are 6-0 and have a chance to go 7-0!!! Oh yea!!!!!
There's all this cash see, it's buried beneath a big dubbyu. A big dubbyu. W
Nice win team.
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, Northbrook!
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Here's another thing to think about: OSU put up more points this week than any other FBS team this week!
Don't speak too soon. Oregon is doing whatever they want against Washington so far.
"Because we couldn't go for three"
One thing that is sad, is the season is half over. :(
Absolutely, but, just the thought of the next two seasons makes one drool.
Exactly!
That was my first game in Block O, and wow! I don't think I've screamed louder in my entire life than on that punt return
Any word on Sabino? Never saw him listed as a scratch, but never saw him on the field.
"Because we couldn't go for three"
I saw him start, but he damn sure wasn't out there long (mid 1st). We need him, much maligned, has been solid this year.
****igan smells like old water that hot dogs were boiled in. FACT
left the game with knee trouble, i believe (??)
TV said he was complaining of pain below his knee or something like that.
From early in the second quarter until Brown's punt return, Ohio State scored touchdowns on all six times it gained possession. The Buckeyes outscored Nebraska 42-17 during those two quarters.
I would upvote this, but think I saw the exact same two sentences someplace else first.
Correct, it's the stat of the game from the ESPN analysis.
Kinda atones for the miserable 1st quarter without a first down...
I'm going to start billing OSU for the heart medication these shaky starts are going to cause me to take.
Enough is enough @ Oregon trying to wear new unis every time out. #bottomofthebucket
****igan smells like old water that hot dogs were boiled in. FACT
This team could have crumbled after the horrible start. I had visions of going for it on fourth down against Florida in the NC game when we ran that fake punt. That is why we brought Urban Meyer in. No panick and no mercy. I am glad he is running up the score for us and not against us. This team hasn't started firing on all cylinders yet. We may be scary good real soon.
And the pac-whatever is the softest football I have ever seen.

o man, i just had a horrible vision of a notre dame/alabama title game...does this mean i have to be a duck fan for he rest of the season?
great f**king win. go bucks!
I think Alabama would break Oregon's QB in half.
no worries!!! no way notre dame doesn't drop one before the end of the season...
Re notre dame/alabama title game. I could get behind that. Bama would crush the Irish. It would be totally worth seeing them embarassed on the big stage.
#fistpumpgobuckeyes
Cal is up on UCLA!
FREAKIN SWEEEEEET!!!! I was completely smiling when R. Smith scored on that fantastic 33 yard run! You could tell he was thinking about not fumbling and you could see all of his demons leave when he scored! What a great victory this was!!! There are certainly lots of coaching moments but there are a ton more confidence boosting, team building, F@#$ing EH moments!!!
Nicely done Buckeyes!!! Nicely done!!!
The best thing about Pastafarianism? It is not only acceptable, but advisable, to be heavily sauced
I know! He looked really good running. Glad to see he's getting it back together... He's got some power
I've had El Guapo's back since day one and thought long ago he was the man. But I have to admit, I really like the way Roderick Smith has redeemed himself. Especially after this summer when UFM told him and his dad that "maybe you ought to transfer" to another school. I respect that he wants to be a Buckeye, and stay a Buckeye.
When Rod got the ball, you could tell that was the moment he had been waiting for. He had "fresh legs" (as the former Penn State QB Todd Blackledge said on TV), and he was a man possessed. Nothing was going to keep Rod Smith out of the end zone. I loved it! Good for you young man! And here's yet another running back that opposing defenses have to account for and worry about!
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
How amazing is it that we can stare a huge scandal in the eye, moon it, and say "Hey, here's Urban Meyer."
The first 2 big plays against the defense was when freshmen linebackers were in for Shazier and Sabino. Not to mention all the holding going on that they didn't call, on either side btw, until late in the 4th quarter. Then some horrible calls against the defense. Shazier may have earned that second roughing the passer but that first one was BS.
All in All I think the defense played very well. 3 INTs, one pick six. 3 sacks by Simon and at least 5 total that I can think of. Shazier was tackling well. Really the only 2 weak links I think were out there was Johnson and Klein. The rest played really well.
Braxton is a beast. I think I saw a lightbulb come on and he now knows how to throw to the TE over the middle. Hueurmann and Vannet are no longer MIA!
I'm stoke about tonight! Go bucks! 6-0!
It's weird to say the D played well when they gave up that many points, but they kinda did. They had a lot of big plays and created turnovers. They had one TD and could have had a second if Shazier had picked the ball up.
What I loved about this game is that our teams of recent years would not have come back after being down a few scores and not converting the fake punt. Since 2006 there's kinda been doubt in the heart of all our teams and it has seemed like they couldn't handle much adversity.
This team BATTLES. Love it.
Agree with everything you said except Klein had some KEY tackles, Squirrel. He may not have speed, but he's meatier than all the other LBs, and I think he is good against the run.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Klein is playing admirably! But I think opponents see a weakness on the defense with him and attack it. Same with Ohrian Johnson. I think that is why we see so many plays with them in it. Shazier is practically in on every play as well and same with Simon but they are not the targets.
Look at the first quarter. The 2 biggest plays by Neb offense was running and throwing the ball away from Simon's side of the field. Holding on Hankins helps as well. Camren Williams was to blame a lot on that big run as well but it is obvious Nebraska was getting success going away from Simon and Shazier was out mostly during that time.
I'm not saying anything about effort with Johnson and Klein. They play their butts off. But they are the weakness of this defense clearly!
I also believe the thing that has changed the most with the D, Christian Bryant is tackling so much better right now. He is not going for the big blow up hits as much, although he still lays the wood very well. Bryant is the key to the secondary. He is on, stout D! Roby is the best player, Bryant is the leader in the backfield!
Klein had 7 tackles, and one for a sack. Best game of his career.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Wow, wait tip Urban gets "HIS" players in this offense, gonna be unstoppable...
So, funny story...I walk into a Papa Johns somewhere in South America (wearing a Buckeye jersey) to eat and then walk around and find the game...lo and behold, the game is on, telecast in Spanish...The Bucks are down 17-7 and then all hell broke lose...
Seriously, great game and I am glad I caught most of it. This is the 1st game in a while I could just enjoy and have fun watching. There where some defensive lapses and a few questionable roughing the passer calls, but i'll digress...really hoping to catch a few more games this year...
"Don't put syrup on shit, and tell me it's pancakes"
No matter how sh*tty the tour is, it's always tough to leave.
I love this W and I love how Urban kept the pedal to the metal but there's ONE thing I don't love. Jake Stoneburner didn't have a single catch tonight!! IMHO....he needs at least 3 catches a game!!
You know every other coach in the Big Ten just said 'fuck' when they saw this score! The Buckeyes are back and it is going to be a ass whoppin for just about every team if you're not engaged into 'stud' drive! Big win and big notice served to everybody over the last two weeks!!!!!
Personally - I cannot WAIT until Urban stuffs about 70 points down baby Bret's face in Wisconsin!!!
The best thing about Pastafarianism? It is not only acceptable, but advisable, to be heavily sauced
how is it, that we try to lose to miami, cal, and uab, but hang 63 on top 20 nebraska?
are we playing to the level of our competition, or were we hiding our tools?
I thnk it's more a case of the team maturing each week. In the begining there may have ben some underestimation of the opponents, but I don't think it was us hiding any toolsets...
I said it the other week that the offensive and defensive schemes during those weeks was incredibly vanilla and it wouldn't surprise me if they were just throwing that out for the first few games and hiding their true schemes for the Big Ten! I still stand by that because what we're seeing since MSU are two different teams!
The best thing about Pastafarianism? It is not only acceptable, but advisable, to be heavily sauced
^^because what we're seeing since MSU are two different teams!^^
completely agree!!!
well I'm not sure if that was on purpose but I tend to agree with this... the coaches just used those games as practices to try different schemes and teaching moments
An exciting win that couldn't have come at a better time, when about 40 recruits were in attendance to see how electric it can get. If that doesn't sell a kid I don't know what will.
"Because we couldn't go for three"
Yeah I forgot all about that. I was thinking about that early in the game when we were losing. I was thinking this doesn't look good. Then we put the pedal to the metal and I forgot about it.
UFM could not have had a better game to impress the recruits. I was thinking that through the 2nd, 3rd and 4th qtrs. It was a very exciting game to watch, and we got the W.
The next time we have that many recruits in town, it will be the Michelin game. I hope we hang 70 on 'em.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Tackling was much better. OSU gave them some easy scores being out of position and the short field early. The offensive line isn't actually as good as they look. They are just much better than last year when it was terrible. They aren't bad, I do think they are solid. Just not what I expect. OSU was over playing the run on defense, and rightfully so. But when Burkhead cut back, the safeties were out of position. That is what I mean by giving them a some cheap ones. Burkehead is tough. I look forward to him chewing up michigan's fraudulent team. Again, defensive fundamentals of wrapping people up were much better. When they weren't, that is when Martinez scored. He was bounced like a pinball, but nobody wrapped him up. And the ESPN announcers are wrong about nobody has figured out Oregon. Tressel did. 17 points, under 300 yards.
that last touchdown was fair payback for letting their idiot kicker mess with script Ohio.
? do tell...as i must have missed something.
check the blog posts to the right.
nice win, was hoping for an onside kick after the last touchdown, and another shot at scoring again. and i can care less what other coaches think.
Enjoy the sweet nectar of Buckeye Victory 11 Dubsters and Dubettes.
We can complain about the D on Monday.
Here's the updated Leaders Div. standings:
x - Ohio State 2-0 6-0
x - Penn State 2-0 4-2
Wisconsin 1-1 4-2
Purdue 0-1 3-2
Indiana 0-2 2-3
Illinois 0-2 2-4
Wisc plays at Purdue next Saturday. The winner of that game will probably represent the division in the BTCG with something like a 4-4 division record and a 7-5 overall record.
Let's see: we're 6-0, we've beaten two ranked teams, we've matched last season's win total--and still, there have been giant chunks of every game so far where absolutely nothing has gone right. It gives one an idea of what sort of machine we might be once everything begins to really sink in--and we improve the level of talent in our back seven and at wide receiver.
Congrats to everyone who helped set the new attendance record.
The most "loud mouth, disrespect" poster on 11W.
Great night of football. Ohio State rolled, and NC State had the upset of the year over FSU.
"Eagle" brown isn't a thing haha I don't like it. Also they call him Philly on sports center now! During their 10 minute highlight reel
I think "Philly" has earned the right to use the name over his counterpart by now.
We were at The American Junkie, an OSU alumni bar in Scottsdale - it was freakin packed with 300 fanatical Buckeye fans - then Drew Carter shows up, then Beanie Wells shows up - then we drop 63 on Nebraska! It was insane to say the least!
The best thing about Pastafarianism? It is not only acceptable, but advisable, to be heavily sauced
that's awesome that there is an osu alumni bar in scottsdale... beanie and drew showing up probably doesn't hurt business much, but how do they survive the rest of the week? alumni everynight?
It is actually a complete hot spot with the young crowd during the night so during the day on Saturday, they opened their doors to the Buckeye Nation and bring in a ton of cash supporting us. What is awesome is they bring in White Castles and Sky Line Chili products too!!! At 9 am when other bars aren't even open - they have 300 beer drinking, breakfast ordering, insanely rabid Buckeye fans!
The best thing about Pastafarianism? It is not only acceptable, but advisable, to be heavily sauced
outstanding!!!
Don't know if it's been mentioned yet or not, but from listening on TV it sounded pretty loud. And if I remember there were a lot of recruits that showed up tonight.
I'm thinking a few of those recruits must have left pretty impressed.
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
I was in 14B, it was hopping on 3rd downs and big plays. Especially the pick 6 and punt return for a TD.
Husker fans freaking out about postgame exchange between Urbz and Nebraska DT Chase Rome. They're worried that Meyer was trying to the guy to defect, or something, but not sure he'd want anyone from that DL after tonight.
Ehh, turns out Rome is a redshirt sophomore turned down Flordia and a number of other big programs to go to Nebraska. Betcha Urban remembered him, said hey how's it going.
I'm not saying this team will win all the games going forward, but seriously the only game left on the schedule that will be tough is Michigan.
Purdue may have a tough team, but after seeing their performance today, I'm not impressed at all.
Illinois and IU stink
Penn State, other than coming from behind, really doesn't look that impressive. I guess they have Moxie lol, but I'm not too overly concerned about them.
Wisconsin may be tough because it's on the road, but I just don't see it.
Anyway, again, not saying this team is going to go undefeated, but their hardest games are behind them. Michigan will be, as always, THE Game
I'm most concerned about Purdue. The past few years where they have beaten us just has me concerned about them always. Even when they suck they find a way to ruin our season.
Worst weeks of the last few years have been the week after the losses to Purdue. Just trying to proccess that hurts my brain.
yea something about purdue brings out the ... shall we say "Sparty" in us.
No, michigan will lose 5 or possibly 6. If the bowl game worked out they lose 7. My possible all along was Iowa, until I watched their first two games. Now that they have that beast of a white boy tearing it up, that is just the kind of team to pound a soft defense. That isn't just what I want. In fact, I want them to go 9-3 every year. But they are good enough to win half their games. Oh well.
Too bad the officiating was as bad as it was. The fake punt was in fact converted and the spot was off by two yards. He whipped him forward over his body, it was obvios live before the replay and Nesser said "hold on". The double face mask not called on the stiff arm when Roby pasted Martinez, the catch at about the 2 where he got both feet down. It was hard to tell if he bobbled before he hit, but he had control and the ball didn't hit. At least I thought he made the catch. They scored after a few tries anyway.
I am just glad I didn't have to listen to that idiot Herbstreit, who is getting as bad as Lou Holtz and Mark May. I think he just makes it up as goes, like Purdue is going to win the Big Ten. Whatever. Go drink some more of your Tennessee sour mash.
I'm sorry but I think Hyde is a better option at starting tailback than Hall. He is just as fast as Hall and he will run you over. I would love to see them both on the field at the same time 100% healthy though. I think you can move Hall around and do some things, but I want Hyde carrying the ball between the tackles.
Hall is much better on the speed option than Hyde which is an important piece of the offense. Other than that I have to agree
They're each better at different things. Wait until you see what this offense will do when they are both in there and clicking. You ain't seen nothing yet.
Oh man, what a game! That atmosphere was amazing! Everything about this evening was wonderful. The best part about sobering up after the game is realizing that you won't be able to talk above a whisper for a good day or two. In my 4 years here at this wonderful campus, that may have been my favorite game (I'll admit the Wisconsin game last year was more exciting...but it's hard to be overjoyed for any part of a 6-7 season I guess? I'm spoiled)
Except their kicker practicing during Script Ohio. What the heck was that about?? They also looked like they were trying to run into the band when they spell Ohio for when the team comes out. I'm rather upset with the disrespect they showed our band.
Also, much props needs to be handed to TBDBITL for that half time show. It completely blew my mind. If anyone took a video of it, let me know; I'd gladly watch it again/want to show it to friends.
There's a Youtube channel called "mbandfan2" who uploads a bunch of marching band videos every Sunday.
I can honestly see Bo telling the kicker to get out there and disrupt script Ohio, mans bitter.
If he was bitter before, I'm pretty sure he's going to have a real case of the ass after that last TD.
Speaking of which, what does everyone think about the last TD? I get it if we're playing scUM or Bielma. Don't get it against Nebraska. My guess is that he's just trying to change the mentality at Ohio State and send a message to the rest of the B1G. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a little dirty after the TD. I guess I just have too much of JT in me still.
I remember Tressel coached games very well where OSU was barely hanging on to win. They were "playing not to lose," so many times in the 2nd half of games, and oh yes...I remember the BITCHING because we couldn't put some of these teams away!
UFM is more Woody than Tressel, and I for one think it is a breath of fresh air! Take no prisoners!
"Here officer, hold my beer while I find my license."
Yeah but there was 50 seconds left, this was not against Arkansas in the second quarter.
I may have had the most fun at that game then I can recall in recent memory. We looked like we were gonna get blown out when it was 7-17, but bucks found a way to be resilient and blow their doors off. Congrats everyone were 6-0!!!! GO BUCKEYES!!!
I like football
JOHN SIMON IS A GROWN ASS MAN!
Also, Go Bucks. 6-0 feels great. Roby played lights-out. Braxton was Braxton... should be even better next year. We're witnessing something truly special begin to unfold here. If we can get a few more big playmakers on D, it's going to be a rough road for competition.
I don't know. I think Simon is still just overhyped; he didn't even to anything last night! Also, fire Fickell!

"Well, I should hope so, because I'm laying it on pretty thick."
EDIT: If you didn't pick up on the sarcasm in the first place, or the quotes, then there's really not much I can do for you.
For the record, I wasn't the one who down-voted your comment. Just wanted to clarify. Have an up arrow on me to make amends.
Strangely, I am encouraged by the defensive play last night. Most of the big running plays went right where Sabino would have been, and it took a while for the Silver Bullets to adjust. The Buckeyes defense is thin, and young at linebacker, but there is no quit in them. The defense kind of reminds me of the Bengals defense a few years ago that gave up yards but seemed to get a turnover or sack at just the right time. Great win and even better effort! There is no quit in this team!

It was a fantastic game and the Buckeyes got out the whoppin stick and thoroughly crushed the corn! Good thing Indiana gave Sparty a scare because it helps to ensure we don't look past them!
