Oversigning is a myth everyone, I mean ESPN has never reported on it before /sarcasm
Was watching Wisconsin beat up on Purdue and Mike Patrick and Craig (asshole) James couldn't help themselves in talking about the big game tonite with the two best teams in the country.
They have "22 mature starters" "who have been shaving for a while". Also arguing that maybe they should do a rematch for NC.
I say--B1G teams could have "22 mature starters" "who have been shaving for a while" if B1G would allow oversigning and the culling each year of recruiting mistakes. B1G wants to win ball games and B1G may not be perfect, but B1G certainly looks after football student athletes better than the conference that prides itself on winning the last 5 NCs.
Funny how announcers calling games never mention of how those rosters get stacked with talent.

The LSU vs. Ala game strengthens the case as to why Urban Meyer needs to be OSU’s next coach.
I understood everything except for the last sentence. Not really but "give a Buckeye a chance", man...If Meyer was the coach, wouldn't you want him to have 3 years to turn things around? Fickell deserves the same. The team is not great, especially on the offense, but improvement is happening and I can see a Big Ten championship next year WITH Fickell. Can't you see it, too?

I know it's only early 2nd quarter, but I gotta say this game is just about as overhyped a game as any have ever been. 0-0, LSU hasn't come close to scoring and has a pick, Alabama has missed 3 field goals with 2 different kickers.

Wow, we're going to OT because no one could move the football with any consistency. So, now they're going to decide it by placing the ball on the 25 for each team, when the ball rarely crossed that line in regulation. It's like the rule book is being invoked because the game was too hard.

I love defense. More than offense but throwing picks into double coverage or to the DB directly doesn't make it good defense. What I saw was two offenses that couldn't keep up with the SEC speed.

The UCLA game was a better watch, hell even Notre Dame was more entertaining. No doubt the SEC has some tough defenses, but neither of those offenses look impressive. Penn State has a terrible offense, and they scored on Bama.

Wouldn't it be sweet if this was 2006 sec edition. Two teams that everyone is convinced are the best teams that have rosters filled with future nfl players (through the help of oversigning in this case). That go to their bowl games and get schwacked. Alabama already recently lost in a Sugar Bowl they didn't want to play in against an undefeated Utah team. It didn't seem to affect anyone's perceptions of their talent level in the slightest.

That "Game of the Century" was as dull as watching the Browns beat Seattle in a field goal battle two weeks ago. Dull as game as I've ever seen. CBS's SEC shills were trying to make it exciting. Yeah, like watching my grass die in the winter.
Cris Carter just told it right on Mike&Mike. He said they need to learn about the forward pass in the SEC and that the offense was pathetic, it wasn't "great defense".
On a side note, I generally don't listen to those two dopes but the car radio was on 97.1 and I heard CC talking so I left it there.
