The first thing I'll say is right on board with those knowing if we'd manage a win against Bucky, we're in the drivers seat. Actually PSU is but their closing games are Ill, Neb, Us & Wisc. They deserve the slot if they can keep from two losses there (us being one) but doubtful they will.
Second reason is Dantonio for god's sake? He is always going to be someone I support obviously for the defense he orchestrated in '02.
Two reasons, really: There's still a lot of affection for Dantonio, the architect of the national championship defense of '02 and Sparty hates the Wolverines almost as much as we do.

Because I think you're overreading what happened tonight. Wisconsin hasn't played anybody, and they were holding on every play. Sparty blew a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter, and won on a Hail Mary, which never happens, after a replay.
Dantonio is having a good season, but they didn't exactly clamp down when crunch time came tonight. Great win, though!
I'm just saying it seems like you never count out MSU in a game, unless they are playing Bama. The last 2 seasons though Danotnio's team has been pretty impressive. Especially since MSU is typically a 4-6 loss team. Have to wonder what kind of teams he'd have if he had elite talent every year.

I love MSU one week a year and I suspect they love us one week a year. The only thing that adds to our affection is Dantonio. Without him, MSU is just another team that is occasionally a thorn in our side, but usually just another W.

Except now you get to hear about how they were robbed by the replay officials; that there wasn't indisputable video evidence to overturn the call on the field.
Oh and you also get to hear that the officiating was suspicious since Mich State didn't get one penalty called for the entire game. But they'll be deliberately silent on Wisky's O-line holding non-calls. Which was clearly as bad as our game with Toledo BTW. (No wonder their O-line is so dominant.)

I can't get excited about OSU's chances for the B1G championship, unfortunately. OSU needs to beat Wisc and Penn St, hope for someone else to beat Penn St., hope for tie-breakers, and hope the NCAA doesn't bring the hammer. (I went there).
That's a lot of different things falling our way. If it ends up a 3 or more way tie, I don't think the tiebreakers are going our way.
It made me laugh the way Musberger and Herby were talking about how MSU had "dominated" OSU too. I can kind of see it for the one side of the ball, but to me dominating does not mean trying to hand the game over to an opponent that is too incompetent to take it.
