ESPN is reporting that his father is not pleased with his academic struggles and is considering to get Duron to transfer somewhere closer to his home in Florida!
if you honestly can't maintain a 2.0 @ this university than i would rather you leave and take your troubles somewhere else. i had a class that i went to a total of 3x in one quarter and got a B. the fact that this kid is failing GEC courses w/ unlimited tutoring available [along w/ God knows what else] is absolutely unacceptable. either get your sh*t together or else get the **** out of columbus. there's a reason our motto is THE PEOPLE. THE TRADITION. THE EXCELLENCE. if you can't abide by it then you should turn in your jersey.
i understand struggling... but falling below a 2.0 is unacceptable. especially considering freshman forgiveness, tutoring, study sessions, and w/e extra "grade boosts" these guys receive
Golf clap for missing class and still getting a B (Which class? Music 101?). I know plenty of people who are 2.0 - 2.3 range when they graduate. Some majors are much harder than others. Some people excel in school and some excel in the real world. Carter will more than likely go the NFL route, so I'm sure he's not going to be bummed if he's not on the dean's list every quarter. But I agree that he had better give at least a little effort in the classroom the next two years or it's junior college for him.
Why are you getting angry at him for relaying information that is indeed on ESPN? Also claims that a former player said that Taurian Washington doesn't have the best hands in the world. Wondering if Lamaar Thomas transferring was such a great idea for him looking back at it now.
absolutely some are much harder than others. but lets not kid ourselves... we know this kid is taking nothing but GECs [General Education Curriculum] which means nothing above the 100 level. plus we know he is "pushed" towards the easier classes from his "academic advisors." not to mention freshman forgiveness.
and ftr... it was econ 200 and econ 201 lol they were in independence and hitchcock if you're familiar w/ the halls here on campus. i came to the conclusion that sleeping in my bed was much more comfortable than sleeping in the chairs found in those classrooms lol
Get a grip dude. College is difficult especially when you commit so much of your time to a sport. Especially a program like OSU Football. Hes not the first person to struggle in college wont be the last hell get it together hes a freshman for christ sakes give him a year before you say turn in your jersey.
People shouldn't be mad at duron for doing poorly academically, they should be mad at the dude for doing an interview with bucknuts this winter where he vehemently insisted it was a fluke thing and promised buckeye nation that it wouldn't happen again
There is no excuse....with all of the tools these guys have at their disposal. I agree that this kid is only 18, and is away from home...but its spring quarter. Time to grow up, and embrace the opportunity you've been given.
Why won't the Profs. just get with the program and give him the grades he needs??? c'mon, why should he have to study and work hard to get on the field??? Don't all the Profs know his Daddy is Chris Carter??? What, they don't give a crap--oops, who knew. Tress is gonna make Duron carry his own weight, if he can't then it is best he goes elsewhere because the team really suffered because of the Ray Small sagas and Tress isnt gonna let that happen again.

Yea I dropped 6 on pops. 2 boards.
11Duberazzi alert. You've been warned athletes/famous people.
important question: did he get a haircut?
Yeah, he cut the dreads shortly after he was held out of the Rose Bowl.
is that what all athletes do? get in trouble, cut hair. see pac man, camrelo, AI, etc..
I saw the headline and held my breath. Am I the only one?
I don't know...I got into trouble and the Navy made me cut off all my hair though! Probably more of a "I want to look like I changed" thing.
no, because the picture was right under it and it wasn't any twittering nonsense.
I'm not on Formspring, but he gave his reasoning on there. Something similar to it giving him a new lease on life or starting off fresh.

JakeBuckeye is reporting that you are a dumbass and should consider never coming any where close to this website ever again!
God forbid a 18 year old kid have troubles his first year away from home. He is being held out of spring ball to work on school its a smart move.
Agreed

Ha. +1 for the "Music 101"

I think Duron's problem is classes aren't given through xbox live ot Twitter, if they were, we might be talking Dean's list.
Koufos is playing for the Jazz tonight and just got posterized by Amare.

Carmelo lost a bet in NBA Live when he cut his hair.

I actually thought Econ 200 was interesting. Now Accounting 212 is another story.
