Remember way back on Sunday when the Buckeyes only had two verbals for the 2011 class?
Things continued to move quickly on the recruiting front asToledo Rogers defensive back Derjuan Gambrell has become the fifth member of the class, joining Chris Carter and Antonio Underwood as verbals that have come through in the last 18 hours (and all coming near the announcement of a two year contract extension for JT).
The 6-foot-2 and 180-pound Gambrell has been a varsity starter at free safety since the beginning of his sophomore season. He made 64 tackles and intercepted two passes this past season. Gambrell has been recruited by the Buckeyes as a cornerback.
Offered just last month, Gambrell comes in a bit under the radar, but has decent speed and the size the staff loves in corners.

When are the Rivals or Scout star rankings coming out for next year's class? Just curious if any of these guys will show up in the top 250........as if it matters.
Gentlemen- Any news/ updates on Mr. Braxton Miller?
Gambrell has the mold of a typical Buckeye Corner...Coach must have seen something in him to offer the ticket! Congrats Gambrell!
I agree, glad to see that someone doesn't care if the guy is a 5 star or not. Some of the posts earlier about the O-Linemen convince me that some fans just aren't satisfied unless we land 3, 5 star recruits at each position in every class.
I don't know about this guy. I have heard he has a hard time finding the classroom. He sounds like another Ray Small to me. I saw him play about 5 times and saw nothing to warrant a Div 1 scholarship.
Well, I'll trust that Tressel and his assitants know the guy better than rumors and a watching a few game.
Well, I just talked to one of his teachers at Rogers and she said he will be lucky to qualify. I hope I am wrong but we'll see.
