We're all getting dumped on, but snow isn't always a bad thing. Like, for instance, when it's fashioned into the sweetest combination of four letters on earth.
And that dot on the "I" is straight-up magic.

Nice sculpture, love Ohio, but Im sorry, snow sucks.
that is sweet, it looks like it's done outside taylor tower on north campus? hopefully it will still be there tomorrow morning so i can get a pic with it.
They used a glass to dot the i :]
If you're on campus, check out the giant snow tooth in front of the dental school, right at 11th and Neil. Pretty impressive too!
I have to admit, that is pretty nice. What are the snow totals in the area? State College was supposed to be looking at 5-8 inches, but all I see on the ground now as of midnight is a thin coating.
What's up with the dot? Photo shop magic?
Under any other circumstance I'd think that was pretty cool but from my view in the mid-Atlantic, snow has become a four letter word.
Kmanns - We got about 11 inches last week and so far about 4 yesterday. I live in Upper Arlington about a minute drive from the stadium.
OH..I froze!
Pretty awesome, but not quite as cool as the snow sculpture that a bunch of guys did out on the oval back in '99/'00. It was this dragon that arched over one of the walkways on the Oval. It's head started on one side of the main east-west walkway on the oval, its body arched over the walkway at least 10' in the air, then its tail came back down on the opposite side of the walkway. Coolest thing ever. We'd just sent a guy back to get his camera to snap some pictures when a bunch of drunk frat boys thought it would be cool to come by and knock it down.
Yeah, that's exactly where it is, I just walked by it a few minutes ago. The lighting in this picture does a really good job of hiding the bottle holding up the i dot. It's a bit more obvious in person.
Pretty awesome.
Oh, and Happy John Cooper Day to everyone...2-10-10
You guys are taking all of our snow!!! We got dumped on Jan 1 and have only had 0-2" ever since WTF!!! There is still some on the ground because it hasn't been warm, but those feet of snow belong here in Vermont.
Yeah, that one is pretty impressive...I wonder if someone took the picture and upload to image of OSU...that will be awesome!
Its still up, if anyone is interested. (Its on the basketball courts south-west of Taylor Tower.)
The dot of the "i" is mounted on a stick.
