The Ohio State coaching staff decided to shake things up a bit at this year's Signing Day press conference. Instead of the traditional presser in which The Senator gets up and discusses the newest members of the Buckeye family, Tressel had nine of his assistant coaches each introduce two players of the class.
We were on hand to capture the words of wisdom about each of the 18 members of the recruiting class of 2010, and without further ado, here are the videos, starting with the Doc introducing Hyde and Smith (many more after the jump).

Is there any chance Luke Fickell hasn't killed someone in his past?
No dice
I predict James Louis finds his way into the return game almost immediately.
Well, looks like the running game will not miss a beat, as long as Tressel's staff can can find a way to land the linemen he didn't get this year.
Would be welcome
Is anybody else NOT impressed by Taylor Graham??? Nothing I have seen on film has impressed me....... hopefully the coaches are seeing something I dont.

His father wasn't exactly all Big Ten, NFL career or not.

thank you for sharing these vids
If he can stay healthy I think he'll be the real deal. I don't know why they chose to display that video and it makes me scratch my head, because all they showcase are a few dump off passes to slot receivers. Graham was largely under the radar, but when he was healthy Graham took a lot of coaches by surprise--he was performing better at some camps and events than Hendrix or Montana--and the big time QB recruiting gurus/offensive minds with an eye for big arm talent--UCLA for instance--were going after him. Whether or not he can stay durable is another issue. I think we are lucky to have him, as he's the real heir apparent to TP right now, since I'm not assuming we get Miller or any other high profile QB in the coming year.
Kent Graham was much more talented than he was ever allowed to display during his days at Ohio State. My recollection of our offense during that period was very predictable with runs on both first and second down usually followed by 3rd and long. He faced a lot of 3rd and long and was asked to make difficult throws to move the sticks. If given time however, or on the rare occasion we did throw on first down, he had a big arm and was very accurate. He needed to be in the "I" and throw off of play action to hit big plays. The only major downside I remember was he was very stiff in the pocket and not very mobile when the rush would come. If his boy is as good as his Dad he could be solid for two years while he is here in my opinion.
ROFL !!!
This guy is deserving of some hate:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/...
He is the typical OSU QB (Germain, Krenzel, McMullen, Boeckman) and I think he will do very well here if he gets onto the field.
May whoever wrote this die a thousand deaths. May his stinking, maggot-covered corpse rot in the fiery depths of Hell.
holy shit those are a lot of words about basically nothing
that's what 1-8 does to a man
correction:
those are a lot of words about the article "the" and his failures in life.
he appears to be a failed at lifer. if this imdb page is his, he is a failed actor, which is probably the most pathetic type of fail.

jeebus, Rod Smith and C. Hyde are going to be f'ing studs. Cant wait to see them play
Agreed. A top-notch QB (at least for competition purposes) and a few stud OLs (as in...what we missed out on this year) are a must for the 2011 class. You can't help but wonder if the word isn't out, though, warning kids of Bollman's inability to develop NFL-caliber talent. This isn't the delusional, 'Fire Bollman b/c he's a horrible offensive cooridnator (when everyone knows... he's not the OC). This (OL) is his actual job, and evidently he's not very good at it. I said all along that we'll never know how good Beanie COULD have been at tOSU, b/c he was usually hit as soon as he got the ball. Let's hope we get R. Smith, Hyde, and Berry some good OL (who develop!) so that they can realize their full potential here.
This "savant" lists Dennis Kucinich as one of the State Of Ohio's greatest things to offer... That ought to pretty much tell you everything you need to know. I apologize to interject politics but flaming liberals tend to be very angry, misguided people. This guy obviously fits the bill and I'm going to go out on a limb and say he is sexually "confused" as well. Yet another outstanding product out of the State of Michigan... I hope JT and TP lay half a hundred on them in the Shoe this year. Finally, I love the fact that it makes Michigan and SEC fans bristle every time they here our players say THE Ohio State University. Represent Will Smith...
You don't need great linemen to run the ball. Navy doesn't even get 3 star guys and they can run on anyone. The thing that makes Henderson and other tackles highly rated is their pass blocking.
jeeeeBUS! can't wait to see him wowwwww sweet article Alex

With the news that Miami is second for Seantrel (no surprise really, his dad said the entire family is moving with him and if they aren't going to LA, they'll pick Miami over Columbus or South Bend--it's less boring, after all), I'm really hoping USC gets placed on sanctions, because sanctions mean Kiffin and company gets slammed, the golden boys of Troy are unmasked, and as a result of that Seantrel goes to U-Miami. Miami has been starting a lot of true freshman under Shannon, which means Henderson potentially starts at left tackle this coming fall season---and remember who will line up against him on Saturday September 11, 2010--no one less than Cam "Outland" Heyward. It would really be a poetic ending to this recruiting drama. That's not to say I don't want to see Seantrel do well--I think he was manipulated by a pathetic show-father in all of this and ultimately will succeed--but I also wouldn't mind seeing Seantrel getting owned by Cam before he blossoms into a premier left tackle.
Your apology is not accepted. Please keep politics off this site. It makes you sound angry and misguided.
^^^ Agree with you mostly. Just hope nothing changes and there is no destination Buckeye for him. Don't want him or his 'Water Boy' father.
Navy runs a completely different style running game. For tOSU to be successful on the ground it takes a good strong line that can get that push for "3 yards and a cloud of dust". So... yes... we need good offensive linemen to run the ball.
As stated in my initial post, the only people who are "angry" and "misguided" are radical liberals. The link which prompted my response came from the Huffington Post which is a far left liberal site. I find it no coincidence that this Michigan fan who unloaded on all of Ohio expressed his opinion there . And "yes", Dennis Kucinich is a complete and total whack job (he believes he was abducted by aliens... really). I could really care less if you "accept" my apology or not and I will bring up whatever I choose. Just for good measure... Rock on Scott Brown from Massachusettes. He put a butt kickin' on the liberals like the author of that pathetic article like Beanie Wells running over Michigan db's.
You are the pathetic, misguided one.
Galena, you suck. Stay away.
I agree with both of you. Just from what Henderson has said about being bored by Tressel's visit (apparently, Tress brings a lot of information and wordiness with him on the trail, which I'm not surprised would bore a kid who's still not academically eligible to enroll according to the NCAA), Ohio State just isn't the right fit for him. Lane "Pedo" Kiffin or thug-U can have him.
Regardless of politickin', I am offended. How dare that academiac elitist bastard bash by beloved state and Buckeyes. THE,THE THE........
I thought it was actually his dad that said he was bored with JT's visit -- which pretty much explains the kid's whole situation. Seems pretty clear though, that he'd be a better fit somewhere else.
He'll never pick South Bend, not glamorous enough for him or his old man. Daddy want a recording contract and it's either U$C or Miami. I got to the point where I don't want this cancerous father/son duo anywhere near the Buckeyes.
Then don't call yourself Kucinich Buck.
BTW, I don't want Latwan Anderson either now.
Either way, it's such a dumb comment to make. Tressel is trying to be honest to your son about what the life of a freshman student athlete is like at Ohio State. Maybe it's not Lane Kiffin cracking jokes and beers in your living room, but at least he is being honest with your son. Tressel may not discuss the parties and women on the visits. I guess telling a guy about the time he has to put in on the field and the classroom is boring but at least it's honest.
TURN ON ESPNU Now To check out DeShaun Thomas (4pm v. Lawrence North)
