Walter Offutt Leaves the Program
In a trend that is too common amongst the OSU hoops program, sophomore Walter Offutt has decided to transfer, though he will finish out the quarter.
We can’t blame anyone for wanting more playing time and he was stuck behind some good wing players, with more coming in next year. He hasn’t decided where he is going, but if he goes to another DI school, he has to sit out a year.
We wish he would have stuck it out, this team will need the depth as the season rolls on, but we wish him luck in where ever he ends up.

sucks, but its probably the best move for him. if he isnt getting any PT now, he wont ever get it with next years class coming in.
too many people jumpin in elevators

I wish Walter the best. This certainly isn’t a Noopy Crater situation. The kid has had some bad breaks with inj’s, something you can’t control. I hope he finds a good home and shines, just not in the B10!
If there’s something bad to be said about Matta, his inability to keep kids happy after he recruits them could be one thing.
Eh, I don’t know about that. Noopy was a kid we don’t need and he just recently found his way into more trouble at USF.
Offut wasn’t getting minutes this year and with all of the talent coming in next season, a transfer might have been the best move for him.
i don’t think it’s a matter of keeping anyone happy. it’s just kids realizing their minutes are shrinking because of better talent coming in. it happens everywhere.
I saw this kid play in HS; he was a beast. Just goes to show the talent level at the next step.
Who gives a shit??
according to this site hes visiting unm next week.
