Honestly, can you blame them for the Big Ten bashing at this point? At one point during this game (11 minute mark of the first half) the game was on pace to have a final score in the ballpark of 120-44 !

I know a lot of people are trying to draw a comparison between Michigan State and the Buckeye's game against Florida. QUIT IT!!! Michigan State had a phenomenal run in the Dance. They beat Louisville and UConn, which is a major accomplishment, because in my book those teams are lightyears ahead of MSU. I thought that there were 4 of 5 teams that had a legit shot to win it all, Louisville, UConn, Villinova, Kansas and UNC. I know everyone here tends to be a Big Ten homer, but there's no reason Wisconsin should have received a bid to the dance (I don't care if they won in a miracle in the first round - that doesn't legitimize an invite for being worthless all year with a terrible February), and no one really considered Michigan State a major threat to win it all. The Big Ten is a turnover-heavy, low-scoring league. Just because Michigan State made it to the end doesn't necessarily legitimize the entire conference, just like it's not fair for Ohio State to carry the entire conference on its shoulders in football. Just because Kentucky was good for all those years never made the SEC a great basketball conference.
Look at it for what it is - the best team from the Big Ten's regular season, boasting the Big Ten's best coach, made a fabulous run at a title, and ran into an absolute buzzsaw, probably the most decorated UNC team in their storied history, a team that already clocked MSU earlier in the year. If you watched UNC play all tournament, there was simply no way they were going to be denied their national title. They were the best team all year (and last year, probably), and they played like it tonight. It doesn't legitimize or diminish the Big Ten because Michigan State lost, so quit trying to make any more meaning out of it than there is. Congrats to the Tarheels, they made it happen.
Now, is it football season yet, g'dammit?
And one more thing...Fellow Buckeye fans, please don't start being like SEC fans, who continually indentify with the successes of other teams from their league. You'll either turn into a serious woe-is-me sob story, or you'll turn into a complete SEC-like f'tard jerk who legitimizes their way of life by what others do. We're Buckeyes. We have our history, our tradition, (plus we're a football school). We don't need Michigan State to fight our battles for us, and we don't need them to feel good about ourselves.
Time to man up and say to ourselves, "It's just a damn game."
Steve, I hear you, but no matter what, it's guilt by association, ya know? That being said, other than the Buckeyes in basketball, there are a few other teams I've pulled for, though tOSU is #1 always, and OOC, Sparty and UNC have been two of them. I don't know where you are at, but trust me, on a ship with 300+ other people, B10 fans are hearing it today, Earfulls of it.
Not to mention countless bases and such.

Steve, you're right about UNC being a buzzsaw, but I don't see any problem rooting for fellow Big Ten teams to represent the conference well, whether it be during the tournament or bowl season.
Do you really think that Woody wasn't rooting for Bo's Michigan teams in the Rose Bowl when they didn't make it or vice versa?
Rooting for other teams to represent in no way diminishes the fact that I always root first and foremost for the Buckeyes.
not to mention your conference rankings helping out the rankings for all teams in the following years..the more you're noticed the better ranking..the easier to move around the top
