The bowl season has been 90% Big 12 defenses getting shredded (Tech, Okie State, Missouri and Kansas too, albeit to a lesser extent). I take some solace in that.

Alabama having to re-shuffle its line is having a major effect on their offense.

SEC teams just don't see this type of speed -- particularly from the defensive line -- on a consistent basis.

I think its time the SEC faces up to it: they simply don't have the athletes to compete with the elite teams in MWC.

You know what's going to happen now? The media will start churning out excuses faster than you can blink. After all, for two years now, they've been pounding us that the (mythical) SEC speed is too much for any other conference to handle. Now they have to come up with an ass-saving of a lifetime.

Saban is Big Ten mentality. The margin of error for a ground and pound team is small, especially if their defense is not playing well. Add in an inept offense, it is upset time. There is a lot to be learned from the Sugar Bowl. I am so tired of the hate towards the Big Ten.
