Welcome to The Hurry Up, which runs Sunday through Thursday, serving as your last stop for recruiting news and notes nightly. We'll recap the day as it happened and preview the days ahead while keeping our ear to the ground on the Ohio State recruiting scene.

CORLEY DECISION CLOSE TO SET?

247Sports.com analyst Steve Wiltfong had some big news earlier today about one of Ohio State's top 2016 wide receiver targets, Detroit's Donnie Corley, Jr.

That announcement date, according to Wiltfong and confirmed by Corley's father, could be sometime in the next month, although there's not a finalized date. Ambry Thomas, a 2017 defensive back from King, also holds a Buckeye offer and is considered very strong Michigan State lean.

Corley, who was offered by Auburn today, is scheduled to return to East Lansing tomorrow for another visit to Michigan State, and his father says that too isn't finalized yet, but it's likely. The Buckeyes have been working hard to try and get the country's 16th-ranked wide receiver back on campus (he was last in Columbus for Ohio State's spring game on April 18th) but multiple attempts in recent weeks have fallen through. If Corley doesn't get back to Ohio State soon, it may be time to put this pursuit to bed. Michigan State continues to lead the race here, but the Buckeyes, along with Tennessee, are still working hard to pull off the upset.

RIVALS.COM RELEASES UPDATED 250

All of the big cheeses from Rivals.com gathered over the weekend apparently and updated their Top 250 list. As you might expect, the Buckeyes are well represented on the list, both with commitments and high-priority targets. First, let's take a look at the Ohio State verbals on the list.

  • No. 22 - Kareem Walker, RB, New Jersey
  • No. 54 - Jake Hausmann, TE, Ohio
  • No. 66 - Demario McCall, ATH, Ohio
  • No. 103 - Malik Barrow, DT, Florida
  • No. 148 - Jonathon Cooper, DE, Ohio
  • No. 177 - George Hill, ATH, Ohio
  • No. 202 - Terrell Hall, DE, Washington, D.C.

Ohio State is on the trail of a number of other prospects who made the list. Some key names?

  • No. 1 - Dexter Lawrence, DT, North Carolina
  • No. 5 - Nate Craig-Myers, WR, Florida
  • No. 6 - Rashan Gary, DT, New Jersey
  • No. 9 - Gregory Little, OL, Texas
  • No. 17 - Nick Bosa, DE, Florida
  • No. 51 - Ahmir Mitchell, ATH, New Jersey
  • No. 59 - Antwuan Jackson, DT, Georgia
  • No. 79 - Donnie Corley, WR, Michigan
  • No. 126 - Damar Hamlin, DB, Pennsylvania
  • No. 149 - Landon Young, OL, Kentucky
  • No. 191 - Michael Onwenu, OL, Michigan
  • No. 195 - Luke Farrell, TE, Ohio
  • No. 208 - Austin Mack, WR, Indiana

Ohio State has 15 current commitments in the 2016 class and if this list is any indication, it's going to finish with a pretty spectacular group come February.

TRISTEN WALLACE 7-ON-7 VIDEO

Over the weekend, Buckeye 2016 quarterback commitment Tristen Wallace and his DeSoto teammates took part in a state 7-on-7 tournament in Texas. Although the Eagles fell short, dropping a head-to-head matchup with the eventual champions from Mesquite, their offense was explosive and Wallace led the way as they averaged 44 points a game.

Scout.com's Greg Powers was on-hand and was able to get some good video of the future Buckeye quarterback in action.

Wallace missed most of his junior season with a broken leg, so any and all game-style action he gets right now is vital for his development.

GILL PREPARES FOR BUCKEYE, BIG TEN VISITS

As one of the younger prospects in attendance on Sunday, Westerville South's Jaelen Gill didn't get the number of reps he wanted on the field, but he felt he made the most of them.

"I did well, I think," Gill told Eleven Warriors. "I just wanted to see how I would compete against so many great players, and I think I handled myself well."

Gill was scheduled to visit Ohio State on Saturday, but assistant coach Luke Fickell asked him to reschedule because Urban Meyer was not going to be readily available and Gill obliged. He'll instead visit this Wednesday, a trip that will kick off a week-long Big Ten tour that he says will include stops at Michigan State, Illinois and Purdue.

With offers from Penn State, Tennessee, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, and Toledo, Gill is hoping to earn a scholarship from the Buckeyes when he camps in Columbus on June 13th.
