Welcome to Campus Connection, the only place where you'll see coverage of the Ohio State pottery club or chess team throughout the interwebs.

With today being the last day of exams, all students are now officially heading home for winter break. Thus, today's Campus Connection is unique in the fact that it is the first one not written on campus.

Anyway, let's get in to spotlighting the most elite residence hall on campus, The Residence on Tenth.

From housing.osu.edu

The Residence on Tenth is reserved for upperclass students.  It is a six story residence hall with resident rooms on floors one through six. It is part of the William H. Hall Student Residential Complex and has the following features:

  • Hall Desk staffed 24 hours/day to respond to resident's inquiries and check out supplies, board games, sports equipment, movies, vacuums, etc.
  • Study/lounge space on each floor
  • Kitchen facilities
  • Laundry facilities
  • Indoor bicycle storage available
  • Dining Services adjacent to facility

While it is 'technically' reserved for upperclass students, there are a few exceptions, most notably some underclass football players who are forced to hold to the two year campus living requirement.

The building features floor-to-ceiling windows as well as private bathrooms. There are also 15 RA's, and a hall council in charge of planning activities for students.

"Res on tenth is nicer than a majority of the hotels in Columbus," one Redditor said.

The RO10 is within one block of academic campus, near other such destinations as CVS, Adriaticos, and the Marketplace, where students can use their meal plans and dining dollars.

All in all, the RO10 is the nicest residence hall on campus and it isn't really close. Stay tuned for next week when Campus Connection takes a look at another residence hall. Hint: it rhymes with Baverfield Mouse.
