The United States, the reigning Women's World Cup champions, took on Haiti in Birmingham, Ala., Sunday night.

It did not go well for the Haitians.

The USWNT posted an 8-0 victory, and midfielder Carli Lloyd tallied three of the eight.

"As far as a midfielder getting into the final third, she's among the best players in the world at it. She's fantastic in the air. She's good with the strike. She's good off the dribble," U.S. women's national team coach Jill Ellis told Al.com. "She's good at picking up loose balls with her mentality."

Lloyd, a Rutgers alumnae, then did the only sensible thing: Rocked an Ohio State hat in the deep South.

Thank You Birmingham! You guys rock.

And that is how one puts in a hard day's work at the office.
