Ohio State women's hockey is quickly approaching dynasty status, having captured another national title under head coach Nadine Muzerall in dramatic fashion via a late goal by freshman Joy Dunne. 2023 title loss avenged, bag secured, Dubcast impressed.

Yes, we talk about Buckeye hoops this episode (and a Pistol natty, and Jesse Mendez winning a title), but I wanted to lead off with women's hockey for two reasons: first, Nadine Muzerall is significantly underpaid. She's the best coach at Ohio State, having transformed a moribund program into the best in the country in just a few years. Pay her!

Secondly, get these women out of the garage they currently play in and into a rink befitting their skills and success. Ohio State wrestling won a title and the Covelli Center sprung out of the ground overnight. Let's get that done for hockey.

Plus! More b-ball news and views, and Pro Day wasn't exactly the blockbuster event that it normally is. Here's the rundown:

  • Women's hockey didn't just win, they won in dramatic fashion and we hope that you were able to check it out live
  • Raygan Kirk and Joy Dunne were incredible in a hugely entertaining game
  • Oh, and I'm buying a damn shirt!
  • Maybe going to the NIT wasn't such a bad idea, said Johnny, chewing a mouthful of crow
  • Defense looks much improved, interesting how that impacts second halves
  • Women's basketball lays an egg, unfortunately McGuff's M.O. by now
  • Ask Us Anything - which you can do at dubcast@elevenwarriors.com - wants some hockey merch!
  • Jesse Mendez coming in the clutch
  • Dusty May to Michigan means that we're going to spend the next three years using him as a measuring stick for Jake Diebler
  • Pro Day: I do not care about Pro Day

And that'll do it! Thanks to you for listening and checking out the Dry Goods store, and we'll see you next week!
