Another day, another member of the 2024 recruiting class lured away from Columbus by South Florida.

The last week's news cycle has hardly played out in kind fashion for Buckeye fans, as Ohio State learned yesterday that four-star running back Jordan Lyle has flipped his commitment to Miami. Lyle now becomes the second major member of OSU's next recruiting class to flip to the Hurricanes after five-star defensive tackle Justin Scott followed the same path in late November.

Johnny and George give their immediate reactions to the news, before branching the discussion into a larger conversation on how NIL now shapes talent available at every level of a major college football roster — including players that would only otherwise depart for the NFL.

Additionally, the Dubcast discussion also covers:

  • Kyle McCord has settled on Syracuse, did it have something to do with Dylan Raiola at Nebraska?
  • Buckeye basketball bounced back with a nice win over UCLA! How encouraging is it that the team won despite not having its normally-hot shooting from distance?
  • Ask Us Anything! — writers to dubcast@elevenwarriors.com this week inquired about many topics, while Johnny and George also provide some crucial perspective on the Bass Pro Shops Pyramid!
  • The State Government of Florida gets into a war of words with the College Football Playoff committee.

Thank you for tuning in, and make sure to follow the Dubcast on Twitter to stay updated on next week's and all future episodes! Swing by the 11W Dry Goods store in the meantime!
