Urban Meyer will be in the broadcast booth for Ohio State’s first spring game on FOX.

The former Ohio State coach will join Jason Benetti and Brady Quinn on the call for Saturday’s exhibition in Ohio Stadium. Joel Klatt, who typically calls FOX’s Big Noon game each week with Gus Johnson, will join Jenny Taft on the sideline for the Buckeyes’ spring scrimmage.

Ohio State’s 2024 spring game is set to kick off at 12:05 p.m. with coverage beginning on FOX at noon. The spring game will also be broadcast statewide on the Ohio State Sports Network with Paul Keels and Jim Lachey calling the action.

As has been the case for the past couple of years, Saturday’s spring game will function as an offense vs. defense scrimmage rather than a split-squad game. Traditional scoring will be in place for the offense while the defense will be able to score points via takeaways (three points), three-and-outs (three points), quarterback sacks (two points) and forced punts (one point) in addition to six points for any defensive touchdowns.

The first three quarters will be 12-15 minutes in length with clock stoppages in effect while the fourth quarter will feature a 10-minute running clock.

Saturday’s spring game will be the first ever for any school to air on a national broadcast network. Michigan’s spring game next Saturday is also set for a noon broadcast on FOX.
