Two former Ohio State players are Pro Bowlers for the 2023-24 NFL season.

San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa was selected to his fourth Pro Bowl in five NFL seasons while Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward earned his third Pro Bowl selection in six years as both Buckeyes were named to the NFL’s rosters for the 2024 Pro Bowl Games on Wednesday.

After winning NFL Defensive Player of the Honors for the 2022-23 season, Bosa has been one of the NFL’s best defensive ends again this year, recording 52 total tackles with 10.5 sacks, 16 tackles for loss and a league-leading 35 quarterback hits. He’s led the way for one of the NFL’s best defenses as the 49ers clinched the No. 1 seed in the NFC for this season’s NFL playoffs.

Ward has helped lead a Browns defense that leads the league in yards allowed per game with only 266.6 as he has recorded 34 total tackles with 11 passes defended, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one tackle for loss. In 13 games this season, Ward has held opposing receivers to 34 catches for 467 yards and three touchdowns on 66 targets, according to Pro Football Focus.

Bosa was selected as a starter while Ward was selected as a backup.

The 2024 Pro Bowl Games will be held in Orlando on Feb. 1 and Feb. 4. Both days of competition will be televised by ESPN, with the broadcast starting at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1 and 3 p.m. on Feb. 4.
