Ohio State's latest five-star slob is now "officially" a Buckeye.

Five-star offensive lineman Donovan Jackson appears to be impressing early as the summer enrollee shed his black stripe on Friday, near the end of the Buckeyes' third week of preseason camp.

"I'd like to thank God, man," Jackson said after having his stripe removed. "I'd like to thank Coach Mick. Coach Stud, and the O-line unit. I'd like to thank Rushmen for getting me better every day. Go Bucks!"

Jackson is one of the first three summer enrollees to lose his black stripe, behind only fellow five-star J.T. Tuimoloau, who shed his stripe last week, and on the same day as cornerback Jordan Hancock. He's one of 13 freshmen who have now lost their black stripes, as safety Jantzen Dunn also had his removed on Friday.
