The Buckeyes blasted the Terps on Saturday, and the second half was highlighted by several younger players seeing some extended action.

Demario McCall entered the game late in the second quarter and would end up with more carries (13) than would Mike Weber (12). McCall recorded 53 rushing yards with a touchdown while also adding 48 yard on three receptions.

One Buckeye great appears to be impressed with the speedy freshman.

Binjimen Victor would also find paydirt for the first time in his career. The freshman wideout hauled in two passes for 36 yards, including a 25-yard touchdown strike from Joe Burrow.

A pair of newcomers recorded their first sacks of the season. Defensive end Jonathan Cooper accounted for a pair of tackles and one sack. Linebacker Malik Harrison has the looks of future a star. The Walnut Ridge product recorded four tackles (three solo) and one sack.

Keandre Jones was committed to Maryland for over a year before joining up with Dwayne Haskins and flipping over to the good guys. Up until his return to his home state, Jones' playing time had mostly been early on in the season and primarily on special teams. Against the Terps, the linebacker saw significant playing time in the second half and recorded a pair of tackles (one solo).
