All eyes are looking up at Ohio State.

Aided by a pair of commitments from four-star tight end Nate Roberts and three-star safety Cody Haddad on Saturday, the Buckeyes rose to the No. 1 spot in 247Sports’ and On3’s latest team rankings.

Headlined by five-star cornerbacks Devin Sanchez and Na’eem Offord — the top two cornerbacks in the 2025 class — and five-star quarterback Tavien St. Clair, Ohio State holds the top spot in 247Sports’ rankings by more than five points over second-ranked Notre Dame. LSU, USC and Clemson round out the top five, while Penn State holds the second-best spot in the Big Ten with the No. 7 class in the country.

The Buckeyes also hold a tight advantage over LSU in the On3 rankings, while USC, Clemson and Notre Dame round out the top five. Oregon holds the Big Ten’s second-best class and sits at No. 12 in the overall rankings.

Ohio State has generated considerable momentum on the recruiting trail in recent weeks, securing the allegiances of four-star defensive lineman London Merritt, four-star linebacker Tarvos Alford, four-star wide receiver De’zie Jones and four-star safety DeShawn Stewart — in addition to Roberts and Haddad — since March 30.

There is still a long way to go until the Early Signing Period opens in late November, so Ohio State must maintain its recruiting momentum to hold on to the No. 1 class.
