It's hard to imagine any assistant coach in college football being hotter on the recruiting trail right now than Ohio State secondary coach Tim Walton.

On Sunday, Walton secured the commitment of Na'eem Offord, the No. 1-ranked cornerback in the 2025 cycle. If that wasn't enough, he already landed second-ranked cornerback Devin Sanchez in January and 10th-ranked cornerback Blake Woodby in October.

His impeccable run on the recruiting trail may not be over yet, either. Ohio State sits in great position to land fourth-ranked cornerback Dorian Brew and is also a strong contender for elite safeties Faheem Delane and Trey McNutt, both of whom Walton has a big hand in recruiting alongside new safeties coach Matt Guerrieri.

If OSU can secure the commitment of Brew and all four sign with the Buckeyes, Ohio State would become the first team in the composite recruiting rankings era to land four top-10 cornerbacks in the same recruiting class (assuming all four remain in the top 10 through the end of the cycle). Even if Brew ultimately goes elsewhere, Ohio State’s 2025 cornerback recruiting class is poised to be historically great.

If Offord and Sanchez finish as the top two cornerbacks in the 2025 cycle, it would be the second time Ohio State lands the top two cornerbacks in the 247Sports composite rankings; the Buckeyes previously did so in 2017 when they landed Jeff Okudah and Shaun Wade.

No other school has ever landed the top two cornerbacks in the 247Sports composite rankings in the same recruiting class.

It would also continue what has been a spectacular run of recruiting for Walton, who has secured at least two top-10-ranked cornerbacks in each of his first three recruiting classes at Ohio State.
