Damarion Witten was the MVP of Monday night’s U.S. Army Bowl.

The Ohio State tight end commit was named the all-star game’s top player after catching four passes for 96 yards and three touchdowns.

Witten was named MVP despite being on the losing end of the game as the Gold team defeated the Black team, 62-37, in Monday night’s exhibition at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The Army Bowl honor caps off a highly successful senior season at Glenville for Witten, who helped his team win its second straight state championship earlier this month. The four-star prospect, ranked as the No. 454 overall prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings for the 2024 class, is now set to sign with the Buckeyes on Wednesday.

Witten was joined on the Black squad by fellow Ohio State offensive line commits Deontae and Devontae Armstrong, who teamed up with St. Edward High School teammate (and Michigan commit) Ben Roebuck – after the three of them won their third straight state championship together – on the Black offensive line for one final game in the Army Bowl.

The Army Bowl is the first of three national high school all-star games that will feature 2024 Ohio State commits before they begin their Buckeye careers.

Jeremiah Smith, Eddrick Houston, Air Noland, James Peoples, Garrett Stover, Ian Moore, Payton Pierce and walk-on long snapper Morrow Evans are all on the rosters for the All-American Bowl, though Pierce will be unable to play in the game due to an ankle injury. The All-American Bowl is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 6 in San Antonio, Texas, and will be televised on NBC.

Mylan Graham, Jeremiah McClellan, Aaron Scott Jr. and Bryce West are all set to play in the Under Armour All-America Game, which will be played at 4 p.m. on Jan. 3 in Orlando, Florida and will be televised by ESPN.
