A three-star 2024 offensive lineman that has visited Columbus multiple times was back at Ohio State on March 7 to watch the Buckeyes participate in a spring practice.

Michigan prospect Andrew Dennis was impressed by Ohio State’s offensive linemen in the first practice of the spring, and felt a connection to the program.

“Overall, it was a great time,” Dennis told Eleven Warriors. “We got to see a lot of stuff that you don’t see on a game day. It was an awesome atmosphere. I would say (the best part was) getting to see coach (Justin) Frye and coach (Mike) Sollenne in action coaching the guys was really big for me. And to see all of the older guys coaching up the younger guys and early enrollees was important and speaks to the culture and character that the room has.”

While on the visit, Dennis said he spoke with Frye and had a productive conversation. Dennis said he and Frye talk a couple of times per month on average.

“Yeah I had a meeting with coach and it went well,” Dennis said. “He really likes me and the way I play. He said he plans on being up during spring recruiting to see me move and compete.”

Dennis has visited Ohio State multiple times over the past few months and is considering returning for another visit this spring and potentially camping with OSU later this summer in hopes of earning an offer from the Buckeyes. He currently holds more than 20 Division I offers, including Akron, Army, Baylor, Boston College, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Illinois, Louisville, Michigan State, Minnesota, Missouri, Toledo and Western Michigan.

“It would be huge,” Dennis said of a potential Ohio State offer. “It’s The Ohio State University. They are front runners year in and year out. It is an elite culture with people who want to buy into the process.”

Viliamu-Asa, Cunningham to visit OSU this weekend

Two four-star 2024 defensive prospects from California will be making the trek to Columbus this weekend.

Four-star linebacker Kyngstonn Viliamu-Asa confirmed to Eleven Warriors Thursday he’ll be making the trek to OSU for a spring visit with the Buckeyes. The St. John Bosco (Bellflower, California) linebacker is also expected to stop in at Penn State this weekend. Viliamu-Asa visited OSU last fall for the Notre Dame game.

Top-50 prospect and defensive lineman T.A. Cunningham also confirmed he’ll be on campus this weekend.

Unlike Viliamu-Asa, the 6-foot-5, 265-pound Cunningham does not hold an OSU offer to this point, but he’s certainly on offer watch this weekend. Cunningham is ranked as the No. 50 player and the ninth-best defensive lineman in the 2024 class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s picked up more than 50 Division I offers thus far, including Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Miami, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA and USC.

Jones commits to Georgia

An Ohio State cornerback target is off the board. Four-star Georgia prospect Demello Jones opted to stay home on Friday, giving his verbal commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs.

With Jones off the board, OSU will turn to other targets at cornerback, including Bryce West, Aaron Scott Jr., Miles Lockhart, Zabien Brown, Charles Lester III, Kobe Black and Marcelles Williams.
