Danny Clark has been a member of Ohio State's 2017 class since December of 2013. Bishop Gorman's (Las Vegas) Tate Martell hopped on board this past June. For a long while, there had been questions as to whether Urban Meyer and Tim Beck would look for another signal-caller for 2017. Martell, the nation's second-ranked dual-threat passer, is clearly a guy the staff thinks pretty highly of.

On Friday night, the duo was together in Columbus for the first time, competing in drills side-by-side. Earlier in the day, Clark tweeted out an ominous reference to "someone else pretending they built Ohio State's 2017 class." Both Clark and Martell have taken on leadership roles on the recruiting front, though the former has obviously had way more time to put in work.

The tweet has since been deleted and the two appear to be competing as one would expect in front of their future coaching staff. Thankfully that potentially awkward dynamic appears to be no big deal to the future Buckeye quarterbacks.

Martell checks in at No. 43 in the 247Sports national composite rankings. Clark currently sits at No. 353.
