Ohio State’s seven new players have received their jersey numbers.
The roster for the Ohio State men’s basketball team was updated this week, and with that came the reveal of jersey numbers for each of the Buckeyes’ four new freshmen as well as their three offseason transfer additions.
Scotty Middleton will begin his Ohio State career sporting the Block 0 while Taison Chatman will wear No. 3, Devin Royal will wear No. 21 and Austin Parks will wear No. 25 as they begin their college careers in Columbus. Royal is wearing the same jersey number he wore at Pickerington Central High School, where he was Ohio‘s Mr. Basketball for the 2022-23 season.
As for the transfer additions, former Baylor guard Dale Bonner will wear No. 4 while former Minnesota forward Jamison Battle will wear No. 10 and former Penn State wing Evan Mahaffey will sport No. 12. Battle and Mahaffey are wearing the same numbers they previously wore for other Big Ten schools, but Bonner is switching from No. 3 to No. 4 in Columbus.
Each of Ohio State’s eight returning players from last season have retained their jersey numbers from 2022-23.
