This Week in Twitter is a look at some of the week’s best and most entertaining tweets from Buckeyeland and beyond.

Spring has officially sprung at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, as the Ohio State football team began its 2024 campaign on Tuesday with the start of spring practices.

And what would spring football in Columbus be without Mickey Marotti’s famous mat drills?

Freshman wide receiver Jeremiah Smith has already garnered plenty of attention during the first week of spring, and past Buckeyes are certainly liking what they see from the up-and-coming wideout.

Quarterback Devin Brown also took the first week of spring to send out a message to Buckeye Nation: he is here to stay and compete.

With a few days of spring camp in the rearview mirror, our very own Chase Brown curated a pair of threads containing highlights from the first two practices of the period.

As spring camp heats up in the coming weeks, Ohio State students are invited to visit the Woody to get a glimpse at practice on March 30 for Student Appreciation Day.

The opening of spring camp means we’re one step closer to the college football season and, more importantly, the release of EA Sports’ College Football 2025. With the popular video game franchise’s return after a decade-long hiatus, the Ohio State football team took a crack at guessing their ratings in the upcoming game.

While the Buckeyes returned to the gridiron, Ohio State received a special teams recruiting win by landing the commitment of Aussie punter Nick McLarty. But, McLarty is unlike any punter, boasting a massive frame and a booming leg.

As the Woody was beaming with activity during the past week, several former Buckeyes descended on Indianapolis for the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

On the hardwood, Ohio State men’s basketball continued its late-season push for an NCAA Tournament berth with a dominant win over Michigan at the Schottenstein Center on Sunday. As the Buckeyes celebrated their senior class before the game, it was also the final home men’s basketball game for long-time athletic director Gene Smith, who will retire at the end of June.

D’Angelo Russell had one of the best games of his career on Friday night, scoring 44 points to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a win over the Milwaukee Bucks.

During the week a pair of Buckeye skippers were recognized as the Coach of the Year in their respective leagues, with women’s basketball head coach Kevin McGuff and women’s hockey head coach Nadine Muzerall bringing home the honors.

Friday was International Women’s Day, and the Ohio State athletic community celebrated accordingly.

And finally, Eddie George laid out his Ohio State football Mt. Rushmore. Let us know who would be on yours below!
