With Van Jefferson Out, Ohio State Focuses Receiver Recruiting (11W)

The wide receiver position has certainly become a point of emphasis for the staff at Ohio State. Urban Meyer's offense doesn't need giant receivers so much as it needs playmakers, but a receiver with the physical tools to shield off defenders or out-jump them for the ball is something any coach would covet.

Four-star QB has two fall visits (247Sports)

Quarterback Jarrett Guarantano (Oradell, N.J./Bergen Catholic) plans to visit Oklahoma when they host Tennessee on September 13. He also will be at Ohio State on November 1 when the Buckeyes host Illinois.

Culpepper with high interest in several (247Sports)

TAMPA, Fla. - Quarterback Rex Culpepper (Tampa, Fla./Plant) has early verbal offers from Florida, Miami, N.C. State, South Florida, Ohio State, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Cincinnati, Utah, Mississippi state, Ole Miss and Virginia.

Watts favoring three (247Sports)

SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. - Safety Craig Watts (Saint Petersburg, Fla./Gibbs) said his top three in order is Florida, Ohio State and Indiana.

Ohio State recruiting: State Secrets, 8/26 - Damien Harris sets official visit, Van Jefferson commits to Georgia (LGHL)

It's been no secret that Ohio State and their coaching staff have been hard at work on the recruiting trail, but it would be wrong to say that the Buckeyes don't focus on some recruits more than others. Perhaps one of the most important potential members of the 2015 recruiting class is '15 RB Damien Harris, who has kept in contact with Ohio State since the beginning of his recruiting days.

This is the Big 22 player profile for SouthLake Christian Academy running back Robert Washington, Jr.

Recruiting analyst: Paramus Catholic's Rashan Gary could be 'something special' (NJ)

It’s not just that Paramus Catholic defensive lineman Rashan Gary is 6-4 ½, 290 pounds. It’s all the incredible attributes — his power, explosion, quickness, versatility — that make him the No. 1 overall football recruit in the 2016 class.
