Anyone have past experience in purchasing tickets for away games? When can they be purchased, who can purchase through OSU (students, faculty, season ticket holders, etc.), and is the game experience better buying through OSU than getting random seats on an aftermarket site?

I live in the west coast and hoping to grab tickets for my family to at least one away game this season (Oregon and NW). Looks like tickets aren’t available yet through OSU and wondering if it’s worth it to wait for them to release tickets. I’d really like to sit with OSU fans since it would be the first OSU game for my wife and kids.
