Binckes comes to Ohio State from Temple, where he was a graduate assistant last season. Binckes was previously the running backs coach at Florida International in 2021. He was also a graduate assistant for FIU in 2020 after four years at Nassau Community College, where he held several roles including offensive coordinator, wide receivers coach, offensive line coach and strength and conditioning coach.
A Brooklyn native, Binckes played tight end at LIU Post from 2012-15, earning All-NE-10 honors in each of his final two seasons.
The addition of Binckes rounds out Ohio State’s staff of graduate assistants for the 2023 season. Binckes joins returning offensive line graduate assistant Mike Sollenne on the offensive side of the ball while linebacker graduate assistant James Laurinaitis and defensive line graduate assistant LaAllan Clark hold the Buckeyes’ two GA spots on the defensive side of the ball.
