Palazeti is one of several Cincinnati hires with Ohio State ties. Satterfield, hired as Luke Fickell's replacement last month, kept Kerry Coombs on staff after joining the program as cornerbacks coach and special teams coordinator last season. Coombs also served as interim head coach for Cincinnati's 24-7 loss in the Fenway Bowl.
The Bearcats also recently hired Cass Simmons, who had previously been with OSU as a recruiting assistant, as director of recruiting strategy, and Jack Griffith, who briefly served on the Buckeye staff last year, as director of player personnel.
