I see a lot if media types on twitter (Danny Kanel, Stewart Mandel, just to name a couple) complaining that Ohio state got to sit at home with a free bye week as others had to play an extra game and it wasn’t fair. But these same media types didn’t have a problem with Tennessee (which would have been in this predicament if they hadn’t lost to South Carolina). They would have been an 11-1 non division champ. Matter of fact, the media types were essentially saying that Tennessee was still in the playoff and could just kick back and relax during championship weekend.
