If you watch Austin Ward on youtube or are a Rivals subscriber you probably know his thoughts regarding d-line substitutions. One of his latest videos had Zach Boren as his guest ad both of them heavily criticized the substitution pattern (rotation) of the defensive line. For those of you who haven't followed closely the 2nd string get more or less as many snaps as the 1st team and they take turns regardless of the situation. Big case in point was when the 2nd teamers trotted out when Northwestern was pinned on their own two and proceeded to eat up 7 minutes (or so) of clock time and march out of danger. Zach also made the point that when you are constantly being taken out and have to stand on the sidelines for or long periods of time is is very hard to establish a rhythm.  I am in total agreement with them. What do you all think?
