Nine Ohio State seniors are on the watch list for the 2023 Senior Bowl: Cornerback Cameron Brown, defensive tackles Jerron Cage and Taron Vincent, defensive ends Tyler Friday, Zach Harrison and Javontae Jean-Baptiste, offensive linemen Dawand Jones and Matt Jones and safety Josh Proctor.

Ohio State is one of eight schools with at least nine players on the watch list, which includes 484 total position players who are entering their senior season of college football. Alabama leads all schools with 12 players on the watch list while LSU has 11, Kentucky and North Carolina State each have 10 and Florida State, Michigan and Ole Miss also have nine.

Brown, Cage, Vincent and Proctor are all set to be starters on defense for the Buckeyes this season, while Jones and Jones will make up the right side of Ohio State’s starting offensive line. Harrison, Friday and Jean-Baptiste are all expected to be part of a defensive end rotation that will also include sophomores Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau.

Seniors who were not included on the watch list could still earn an invitation to play in the Senior Bowl in January. Other Ohio State seniors who will be hoping to play well enough this fall to become 2023 NFL draft prospects include safety Tanner McCalister, tight end Mitch Rossi, kicker Noah Ruggles and linebacker Teradja Mitchell.
