Assume tattoo-gave never happened. Would a different timeline have led Urban Meyer to coach at TTUN or even Notre Dame? Prior to tattoo-date, Coach Tressel had mentioned coaching through the 2014 season and then retiring. Urban sat out coaching in 2011 and was in the broadcast booth. How long would he have been content to stay retired, especially when there were reports that he had a clause in his previous contracts that would have allowed him to leave to coach at OSU, TTUN or Notre Dame? 

     Perhaps there would have been a back-door deal with the Senator that maybe moved up his retirement a couple of years or so to allow for a smooth transition to Urban before Urban goes elsewhere? Would TTUN have canned their third-choice coach Brady Hoke and lured Urban in 2012 or 2013 to be their coach if Tressel was still at OSU? Maybe Notre Dame goes for Urban as opposed to Brian Kelly? 

     I think ultimately, one way or another Urban still comes to OSU, but it probably messes up the Ryan Day timeline to OSU. Thoughts?
