A potential scenario that could play out, and it’s not all that unlikely to happen. Note the two top teams in both the B12 and AAC conferences will play each other next week, and then they’ll play each other again in their conference championship games (Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State, and Cincinnati vs. Houston). 

• The Buckeyes beat TTUN but lose to Wiscy; 

• Bama beats Auburn but loses to Georgia;

• The two Oklahoma teams play each other twice and each team wins once;

• Houston beats Cincinnati and Houston play each other twice and each team wins once;

• Oregon plays Utah again in B12 Championship game and avenges their loss. 

Assume Georgia would be at #1, the unbeaten SEC champ. Who would get in? 

There would be only three spots up for grabs, with six teams making a very strong case for inclusion:

1) Wiscy who would be considered the hottest team in the country with three losses, and they would be the B10 champs;

2) The Buckeyes or TTUN who would both be two loss, but they would not be the B10 champs;

3) One of the Oklahoma teams with two losses, and they would be the B12 champs;

4) Oregon with two losses, or Utah with two losses, and they would be the P12 champs;

5) A one loss Notre Dame team, but lacking a conference championship;

6) A two loss Alabama, but they would not be the SEC champs.

It would be interesting to say the least!
