I like all of you am still stunned by todays performance. I am going to limit my discussion to the first half for what should be obvious reasons.
The fact that we continued to score at will really got me thinking about earlier this season and how we were finding our best players on defense. I still noticed a bit of substitution, although less than earlier this season.
Im wondering if this has to do with the fact that the offense makes the defense stay on the field so much more than other teams. We had over double the number of touchdowns than third downs in the first half. That is not only "really awesome" for the offense, its pretty stressful for a defense hoping to pitch a shutout against a heisman candidate RB. Id love to take a look at our snap counts for this, of course. Thoughts?
