K.J. Hill is no longer on the Los Angeles Chargers’ active roster.
The Chargers waived Hill on Thursday, replacing him on their 53-man roster with veteran wide receiver Andre Roberts.
A seventh-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Hill had been the Chargers’ primary punt returner for their first six games of the season but caught only three passes for 30 yards. Although he is Ohio State’s all-time leader in receptions, Hill never became a major contributor for the Chargers’ offense, catching just 10 passes for 103 yards in 21 games with the team.
