For the third time in two days, an Ohio State freshman walk-on has had his black stripe removed.
Reis Stocksdale, a wide receiver from Little Miami High School in Morrow, Ohio, is the latest freshman to “officially” become a Buckeye, joining fellow walk-ons Toby Wilson and Jackson Kuwatch.

Stocksdale, who hasn't yet played in a game for the Buckeyes, becomes the 24th total player and 21st true freshman to shed his black stripe in 2021. Five scholarship freshmen from the 2021 class still have their black stripes: Quinn Ewers, Ben Christman, Sam Hart, Jaylen Johnson (who is out for the season with an injury) and Zen Michalski.
